The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 863: Chapter 863: To the Side Room (3)

Yang Ruxin also knew about Yang Baihui’s thick skin and knew it was impossible to not let her in; moreover, she was curious to see the purpose of her visit this time, so she didn’t stop her anymore.

Xun Hui stood under the eaves, watching the person walking in, her body subconsciously trembling slightly.

”Elder sister-in-law, you’re becoming more and more beautiful,” Yang Baihui said as she eyed Xun Hui’s new jacket and skirt, jealousy swirling in her heart. ”My older brother really doesn’t know his luck...”

Xun Hui stepped back two paces, ”Third... Third Sister, you’ve come?”

”I hadn’t noticed, sister-in-law, that’s a silver hairpin you’re wearing on your head?” Yang Baihui’s gaze settled on Xun Hui’s head and she reached out to touch the silver hairpin carved with a hibiscus flower that Yang Ruxin had bought for her.

”Yang Family’s third daughter, please come inside and sit,” but before her hand could touch it, Sanni suddenly rushed over, bumping Yang Baihui aside and then looked at her with a feigned smile, not genuinely friendly, ”Guests are to be welcomed, second sister, hurry and bring a cup of hot tea.” She wasn’t afraid of these people anymore. Her eldest sister had said that if she wasn’t home, she was the one in charge.

Even though the eldest sister was present now, there was no need for her to deal with these trivial matters.

”You...” Yang Baihui staggered from the bump and failed to grab the hairpin, immediately feeling dissatisfied, but the chilling gaze she met from Sanni made her shrink back, so she didn’t say anything further and stepped towards the house.

”This way, please,” Sanni blocked the path that Yang Baihui intended to take into the main building, gesturing towards a side chamber.

”Why? Just because I’m here, I’m not allowed in the main building?”

”Eldest sister said, that small building is where our family moves about and rests, it’s our private space, and outsiders are strictly forbidden to enter,” Sanni crossed her arms. ”Over there is our reception hall.”

”What do you mean by this, Xun Hui?” Yang Baihui was truly angered, ”I’m your third sister, is this how you treat me? You...”

”This house is mine, the land also mine,” Yang Ruxin said indifferently from behind, ”How I treat you depends on my mood, if you’re unhappy, please leave.”

Yang Baihui was so blocked she became speechless, and eventually, she had no choice but to enter the side chamber.

This side chamber was close to the entrance, prepared for when outsiders came to discuss matters. The furnishings inside were simple: just a tea table and a circle of sofas, surrounded by several cabinets and flower racks with a few vases on top. The floor was made of stone slabs, rather than being wooden, but it looked clean and tidy.

Even with such simple furnishings, the sight was a delight to the eyes of Yang Baihui and Feng Haibo, both of humble origins.

If a side chamber was like this, wouldn’t the interior of that small building be even more luxurious? Especially since it was cold outside, yet the side chamber did not feel chilly at all.

”Elder sister-in-law, come and sit quickly so we can chat,” Yang Baihui smiled warmly, pulling Xun Hui by the hand to sit together on a sofa. ”Hey, I’ve been wanting to see you for a while now, but Haibo was feeling unwell, and now that he’s better, we came right away...”

Xun Hui felt entirely uncomfortable sitting next to Yang Baihui. She was genuinely fearful of this younger sister-in-law. Her nature prevented her from pushing people away, leaving her in a difficult spot. She tried pulling her arm away, but couldn’t manage to pull it free.
