The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 810: Chapter 810: Sending Ginseng Again (5)

”Oh.” Yuan Mengqing nodded slightly, ”Then it definitely isn’t.”

Yang Ruxin, however, touched her own face. Was she really so ordinary? But she quickly put this out of her mind.

Next, it was Yang Ruxin’s turn to present her gift. In addition to the shoes, socks, handkerchiefs, and purses her mother and sister had helped her prepare, she also contributed a hundred-year-old ginseng.

Upon seeing this, the Fang Family didn’t know what to say.

”That... My needlework isn’t good, those shoes and socks were made with the help of my mother and younger sister.” Yang Ruxin showed a rare hint of embarrassment, ”But this ginseng was prepared by myself, so I’ll give it to godfather and godmother to nourish their health...” She had previously given one to the old master, and now to the old master’s son and daughter-in-law, that should... be alright, right?

The expressions of everyone present suddenly became strange, as everyone knew such ginseng was incredibly hard to come by, yet this country girl could afford to gift three pieces so casually.

She had given one piece to the Fang Family’s old master before, later Su Shouren bought one, and now she had pulled out another one. Was this country girl growing ginseng or what?

It has to be said, everyone finally understood; Yang Ruxin’s space really was overflowing with ginseng.

She had harvested the first batch of radishes, ginseng, pears, and wheat that grew, snacking on some of the radishes as if they were fruits and even cooking them for others to eat. But ginseng couldn’t be snacked on nor used in cooking so easily; just a little was needed, and eating too much would definitely lead to problems. Now she had over two hundred pieces of ginseng piled up there. Thankfully the space could preserve them, otherwise...

And just last night, she went in again and saw that the grounds that were empty before were now full of crops once more, which she estimated would mature in just a day or two.

So, while these things seemed incredibly precious to others, to her, they really weren’t as practical as radishes.

Those who thought Yang Ruxin was just fortunate also closed their mouths, after all, even if they prided themselves on having resources, no family could casually gift away hundred-year ginseng.

”Girl, do you have any more?” Su Shouren got excited once again. Actually, he regretted paying five thousand taels for that ginseng right after he did. Why? The price he offered was too low. He meant to start at five thousand taels thinking she would bargain, so he could raise the offer later, but Yang Ruxin agreed right away. Just two days after buying it and not even back to Beijing, the news came from the trade association that a hundred-year wild ginseng was needed, and the price was set at ten thousand taels. Just like that, his earnings doubled, making him feel a bit embarrassed about the profit.

Yang Ruxin looked at Su Shouren and frowned slightly. Was this man addicted to taking advantage of others? Gu Qingheng had told her the price of hundred-year wild ginseng afterward, but even those that were about ten or more grams in size went for thousands of taels. Ones as big as hers were rarely seen, but even by weight, they could go for over ten thousand silver taels.

The products from her space, whether radishes or ginseng, were all larger in size. Each piece of her ginseng weighed around one pound.

”I don’t have any more for the time being.” Yang Ruxin suddenly smiled, deciding that from now on, she would sell the ginseng in slices. Selling them by the piece was just too conspicuous.

Su Shouren immediately felt awkward and touched his nose. He didn’t say anything else but planned to find a time later to talk to her alone. He didn’t believe for a second that she really had none left.
