Beauty Chairwoman’s Bodyguard Expert

Chapter 1737: Chapter 1730: Ashida Ikeda

”What, don’t you believe what I’m saying?”

”Of course, I believe you.”

Lu Tianxing looked at Angel and said, ”But Angel, shouldn’t we discuss the main business first? Don’t tell me you came to China just to see me?”

”Dear, why can’t I?” Angel smiled and said.

Just after she spoke, before Lu Tianxing could respond, Angel continued, ”Do you remember Matsushita Yamaki, whom you killed in Beijing?”

”I remember.”

Lu Tianxing nodded, ”Is your visit related to him?”

”Indeed it is.”

Angel took a deep breath and said, ”Matsushita Yamaki’s master is Ashida Ikeda, a renowned swordsmanship expert in Japan, whose strength has reached the Late Stage of Mythical. He heard about you killing Matsushita Yamaki and has broken out of his confinement. If no accidents happen, he is likely to come to China to trouble you and avenge Matsushita Yamaki.”

Upon hearing Angel’s words, Lu Tianxing’s brow slightly furrowed. He had naturally heard of Ashida Ikeda, one of Japan’s top powerhouses, reputed for his divine swordsmanship. The Godslayer One Strike is terrifying to the extreme, reportedly capable of slicing rivers in one blow.

”Do you know Ashida Ikeda’s current whereabouts?”

”Not clear.”

Angel shook her head solemnly, ”Originally, we had investigated in Japan, but just last night, my intelligence team there suffered a devastating blow, almost annihilated. The sole piece of information we got was that a mysterious force had acted, uprooting all my operations in Japan.”

Hearing Angel’s words, Lu Tianxing’s brow furrowed deeply. Angel’s intelligence network in Japan was not overly powerful but definitely not weak, yet someone uprooted it overnight. This shows the strength of this mysterious force.

”Do you know who acted?” Lu Tianxing asked solemnly.

”Temporarily unclear.”

Angel shook her head, then seemed to recall something and looked at Lu Tianxing: ”Dear, do you think it might be Heavenly God?”

”Heavenly God?”

”That’s right.”

Angel nodded and said, ”Do you remember the incident with Shankou Kiyotaka in Beijing? After you sent me the information, I had people investigate, but no clues were found, except that the Shankou Family does indeed have ties with a mysterious force, though we couldn’t determine if this force is Heavenly God. Perhaps this is why my intelligence group in Japan encountered a ruthless purge.”

Upon hearing Angel’s words, Lu Tianxing furrowed his brow deeply, taking a long time before slowly saying, ”Angel, stop investigating this matter. I will personally look into it.”

”Dear, do you want to go to Japan?”

”Yes, there’s no gain without risk. The Shankou Family likely has ties with Heavenly God. I must go to Japan regardless, especially since the Shankou Family has targeted me multiple times. It’s time to deal with them.”

A sharp light flashed in Lu Tianxing’s eyes. The Shankou Family had repeatedly targeted him, Bai Zhiqing, and Shen Manjun. Now likely tied to Heavenly God, there was no reason for them to exist. He wanted to see if eliminating the Shankou Family would provoke Heavenly God to appear.

”When do you plan to go to Japan?”

Angel opted not to persuade Lu Tianxing. She knew his character too well; once he made a decision, he wouldn’t easily change it. Besides, given Lu Tianxing’s current strength, there was little need for concern. Even if facing Late Stage of Mythical, he could escape from its grasp even if he couldn’t win.
