After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

In the Premier League, creating free kicks and penalties that teammates score from also counts as an assist for the set-piece creator.

In other leagues, it doesn’t count.

Huang Kaiwen couldn’t figure out these complex rules.

This was the first time he was stumped.

He decided to go home and study it.

Assists come with bonus money.

He needed to find out if his passes would pay off.

He couldn’t be working blindly.

The match resumed, and the referee blew the whistle for halftime.

Huang Kaiwen, chatting and laughing with Kaka, walked back together.

Ancelotti darted over and handed them each a towel.

Then he asked Huang Kaiwen, ”Kevin, are you feeling okay today?”

”No problem at all, I feel great.”

”That’s good to hear.”

Ancelotti stayed put, chuckling awkwardly.

Muttering something under his breath.

Huang Kaiwen didn’t pay much attention and walked into the tunnel.

The atmosphere in the locker room was excellent; Milan didn’t have any strong opponents in December, and they were about to take holidays.

Even as players.

They were looking forward to a mid-season rest too.

Ancelotti didn’t return to the locker room and it didn’t draw anyone’s attention.

”Kevin, thanks for today.”

Stam bent down and handed over a bottle of water as he spoke.

”No problem,” Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

After all, his goal-scoring and assist bonuses were worth the same.

Assists also helped to improve rapport with his teammates.

”So... do you think you could assist me one more time later?” Stam asked sheepishly, rubbing his bald head, ”Today might be my only chance for a hat trick in my career. After today, it might never happen again.”
