”There are two types of Great Elders: one that holds a position within the Spirit Array Master Guild and wields actual power, and the other is a nominal Great Elder who does not wield power but enjoys the same privileges as a Great Elder with power. Since you do not wish to leave your sect, you can become a nominal Great Elder.”

Murong Baichuan explained.

”How significant is it to be a nominal Great Elder?”

Lin Feng asked, astonished.

Murong Baichuan smiled wryly and said, ”Of course it’s significant! Within the entire Spirit Array Master General Union, there are only seven hundred and thirty-two Great Elders. If one wishes to serve externally, one could serve as the deputy chief in charge of a vast area like the Spirit Array Master Guild of the Northern Seventy-two Domains, where there is one chief in charge and two deputy chiefs.”

”If the young friend wants to gain real power, he could serve as a deputy chief. You should know how vast the connections of the Spirit Array Master Guild are; if you can become a Great Elder, then, countless powerful individuals will come to form connections with you...”

Murong Baichuan did not continue.

Because he believed that Lin Feng already knew how to choose.

Indeed, as Murong Baichuan had said,

If he became a Great Elder of the Spirit Array Master Guild,

Then,

His status would soar.

Keep in mind,

Not even Azure Cloud Sect had a Spirit Array Master who could serve as a Great Elder within the Spirit Array Master General Union.

If Lin Feng revealed his identity as a Great Elder of the Spirit Array Master General Union,

The higher-ups of the Azure Cloud Sect would have to fawn over Lin Feng.

Not to mention an Ancient Force like Azure Cloud Sect,

Many Ancient Desolate Forces would seek to curry favor with Lin Feng.

”Thank you for the recommendation, senior; I will surely repay your kindness in the future.”

Lin Feng clasped his fists in gratitude.

Seeing how well Lin Feng handled himself,

Murong Baichuan’s face was filled with smiles.

His efforts in recommending Lin Feng were

First, out of admiration for talent,

And second, to earn such a favor.

...

”Ha ha, young friend, you are too polite. Now I will go and prepare with the two deputy chiefs to elect you as a Great Elder. Tonight, you can go to the East Sea Spiritual Array Master General Union headquarters to complete the credentials, and then you will become a Great Elder of our Spirit Array Master General Union,”

Murong Baichuan said with a laugh.

Lin Feng nodded.

Electing a Spiritual Array Master as a Great Elder was not a trivial matter.

It was a matter of great importance.

Naturally, there were necessary procedures to follow.

Lin Feng bid Sikong Zhaiyue farewell and left.

Murong Baichuan and Jiang Tiandou did not stay long either and soon departed.

Jiang Tiandou returned to the auction house,

While Murong Baichuan went back to handle the appointment of Lin Feng as a Great Elder.

This matter still required reporting to the Spirit Array Master General Union.

Then they would wait for the Spirit Array Master General Union to send back a message, so it would take some time before Lin Feng could officially be appointed as the seven hundred and thirty-third Great Elder of the Spirit Array Master General Union.
