The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Zhao Meng spoke while savoring, ”This dish is very difficult to prepare, especially if you want to ensure the fish heart and gills are not damaged. Thinking about it carefully, it’s very challenging!”

Fu Yu multitasked, listening to Zhao Meng while watching the seafood porridge in the clay pot.

His interest in this dish was no longer as intense as it had been the night before.

The detailed process had already been discussed with Liu Yunong last night.

Moreover, when speaking with Liu Yunong, Fu Yu had to admit.

Liu Yunong is truly a renowned chef!

Her understanding of cooking techniques and her personal experience and insights were very profound.

After exchanging ideas with her, even Fu Yu felt he had gained a lot.

After Zhao Meng’s comments, he couldn’t help but offer heartfelt advice: ”Xiaofu, your mentor is truly impressive. In the future, when you’re by her side, make sure to stay humble and learn cooking skills from her well. If you can master her unique skills, you won’t have to worry in the future!”

When Fu Yu talked to Zhao Meng about this matter, he only mentioned the rough process and characteristics of the dish and didn’t specifically say that he was the one cooking it at the time.

It wasn’t intentional deception, but because cooking this dish is genuinely very challenging.

At that time, he dared to speak haphazardly to Liu Yunong, relying on her lack of understanding about him.

However, with Zhao Meng, these lies naturally wouldn’t hold up. After all, at Qianlima, even when he was just a handyman, there was no time to study and explore the inside of a live fish. They would always completely gut it before cleaning.

This state of having a lot to boast about but being unable to share it really suffocated Fu Yu.

Fortunately, not long after, Liu Yuqing came to the kitchen with a takeout order list.

Fu Yu quickly perked up, joking and chatting with Liu Yuqing for a few moments.

Liu Yuqing is a very interesting girlfriend!

Beautiful and incredibly attentive.

Seeing how busy Fu Yu was, they didn’t talk for long before Liu Yuqing left.

As she left, she suddenly called Fu Yu to lean over.

Fu Yu thought she had something to say to him, but as soon as he leaned in, she popped a piece of milk candy into his mouth.

”Look at your frowning face, have a piece of candy to sweeten it and lift your spirits!”

Fu Yu smacked his lips, savoring the rich, creamy flavor, feeling sweet in the mouth and warm in the heart.

...

The kitchen at Shangshi Private Kitchen was extremely noisy, but!

Everyone’s attention was focused on Liu Yunong’s cooking station.

Wang Yulong was closest, holding his breath in concentration for fear that his breathing would affect Liu Yunong’s cooking.

Because everyone nearby was overly cautious, the kitchen, though chaotic, had a somewhat tense atmosphere.

Except for the sounds of knives chopping and ladles clanging, no one spoke.

At this moment, Liu Yunong’s cooking was proceeding quickly!

Wang Yulong watched without blinking, increasingly finding Liu Yunong’s wrapping technique to be truly ingenious.

This wrapping method allows for perfect control of the angle at which the fish belly enters the hot oil, facilitating easy handling and protecting the fish heart!

Wang Yulong couldn’t help but praise repeatedly, finding this wrapping technique extremely practical!

The boss is truly talented, having managed to improve the wrapping method!

Feeling both awe and embarrassment, Wang Yulong blushed.

Alas!

The young girl he’d watched grow up has now become so impressive!

In self-examination, he admitted that this clever and practical wrapping method was something he could never have come up with.

No, it’s not that it couldn’t be done, but rather he never had the mindset to figure these things out.

He realized he was growing old, and even his drive had declined.

It’s said that learning has no end.

This saying is timeless truth.

Back when he was young, he was also quite diligent in improving and honing his culinary skills.

In the blink of an eye, he had worked in the kitchen for decades, promoted to head chef and trusted by the boss to manage the branch kitchen.

For this, he was always rather proud, believing his culinary skills were indeed exceptional.

But now seeing...

Wang Yulong rarely engaged in introspection.

No wonder, despite his age and years of experience in the kitchen, he never earned the title of a renowned chef.

This is the gap!

Thinking of this, Wang Yulong took a deep breath, feeling a slight crack in his inner resolve.
