Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 1732: Chapter 1722: Not Sending Her to Prison Is My Final Concession

In order to make Beijue break up, she resorted to unscrupulous means, willingly hurting those close to her, damaging the family wealth, and coercing and enticing.

How could someone like this be worthy of being a member of the Li family?!

”Dad, I...” Li Nantian’s mind went blank, his eyes filled with anguish, looking incredulously at Old Master Li.

During his conversation with Li Beijue, he guessed that the Old Master’s poisoning might be related to Qiyun, but he didn’t expect it to be directly her doing, meticulously planned over a long time.

His mind was trembling, and he suddenly closed his eyes.

Why Qiyun did this, upon reflection, was actually clear.

This year, although the Old Master did not openly acknowledge Miss Habsden, those familiar with him could see that although he hadn’t acknowledged it, his attitude had changed. He had sort of tacitly approved of Miss Habsden’s relationship with Beijue. Believing that with time, softening his attitude, he would eventually agree.

Qiyun surely also saw this.

She knew her opposition was useless, once the Old Master agreed. Given the Old Master’s decisive style within the family, the marriage alliance between Beijue and Miss Habsden would be set.

Therefore, she poisoned him.

Even if Li Nantian understood her reasoning, he still could not accept this reality.

Li Qiyun is the daughter he raised single-handedly, understanding since childhood, never causing him any worry. Excellent in both academics and horse riding, fencing, and other activities.

Even though she was not his real daughter, her excellence and ability certainly matched the identity of Elder Miss Li.

He has always been proud of her.

The result, just because she developed feelings for Beijue beyond sibling affection, she poisoned the Old Master, kidnapped Miss Habsden, and went so far as to use her position to embezzle Li’s liquid funds. During the Old Master’s coma, she convened a shareholders’ meeting to seize power, collaborated with the Oslo family, and much more...to force Beijue to break up.

Truly insane!

Not just insane, but unscrupulous and irrational!

Li Nantian’s cheek muscles twitched, though he was more disappointed and hurt than anyone, he silently looked at Old Master Li, his eyes filled with a plea.

”Dad, I know whatever I say now is wrong. But I’m begging you, begging you for the last time, for Lan Sheng’s sake, spare Qiyun this once.”

”If she disappoints again, you won’t even need to say a word, I’ll handle her myself!”

Old Master Li looked at the man kneeling beside his sickbed, silent.

The air in the Presidential Ward seemed frozen, a needle could be heard falling.

Li Nantian could feel the pressure from above, since he spoke his plea, he dared not look at Old Master Li’s face, because he knew, the Old Master must be very disappointed in him too.

For a long time.

Long enough that Li Nantian’s knees were numb.

The person on the bed finally spoke, ”Not sending her to prison is my final bottom line. Beijue probably thinks the same.”

Otherwise, the ones taken away by those handling economic crimes would not have been just the people from the Public Relations Department and Finance Department, but Li Qiyun herself!

The most concession he could make was only this far.

With what Li Qiyun has done, punishing her is unavoidable, otherwise, Li’s Plutocrat’s reputation would be damaged, and family members would have objections!

He no longer looked at Li Nantian, turning his head, he instructed the old butler beside him, ”Let Li’s shareholders come over, I have something to announce.”
