Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 1490: Chapter 1490: Did the Sun Rise in the West Today?

Chi Enen was forcibly pushed out of the kitchen by him.

In a short while, she saw him bringing out steaming fresh shrimp porridge and turbot fish, along with the spicy fried pineapple fern made earlier.

He conveniently brought out the bowl and chopsticks too, placing them on the dining table.

”Eat.”

Straightforward and brief.

After speaking, a bowl of seafood porridge was placed in front of Chi Enen, and he even handed her the chopsticks.

”What are you staring at? Take it.”

Li Beijue held them out for quite some time, seeing her still in a daze, he couldn’t help but frown slightly and urged her.

”Oh, oh, oh.” Chi Enen finally snapped back to reality, taking the chopsticks from his hand. Pausing for a moment before asking, ”Li Beijue, didn’t the sun rise from the east today?”

What sun rises from the east? Has this woman’s brain been kicked by a donkey? In the next second, he realized Chi Enen’s meaning, his handsome face turned dark, and he said through gritted teeth, ”From the west!”

Damn it!

She actually said that his helping out is like the sun rising from the west!

He picked up a piece of pineapple fern and put it in her bowl, ”Eat!”

Chi Enen was just teasing a little, not intending to really provoke him, and silently lowered her head to eat.

Because of that unexpected kiss when he suddenly rushed into the kitchen, the seafood porridge was a bit scorched at the bottom, the fragrance of the glutinous rice mixed with a hint of burnt aroma combined with the taste of fresh shrimp, creating a unique flavor.

The turbot fish and pineapple fern were also nicely done, though the taste wasn’t overwhelmingly amazing, both dishes were pretty decent.

Most importantly, these were made with her own hands.

She personally bought the ingredients, personally cooked.

Therefore, Chi Enen had a good appetite, eating two bowls of porridge before putting down the chopsticks, ”I’m full.”

Li Beijue had an even better appetite than her; always exhibiting the aristocratic elegance of a man who holds the principle of not speaking while eating or sleeping, yet he ate quite a lot.

Almost half of the turbot fish was finished by him.

Only a small part of the tail was left behind.

He also finished the porridge, only then did he satisfyingly put down the chopsticks, ”Not bad.”

Chi Enen’s bright eyes curved a bit, knowing his words contradict his true feelings. Since he said it wasn’t bad, it means he was quite satisfied.

Receiving approval for the food she made herself, there was an inexplicable sense of satisfaction swelling in her chest. Most importantly, seeing the previously irritable and frustrated person return to his usual self, her mood seemed much better, and the smile at her lips became all the more warm.

Chi Enen took the initiative to clear the dining table, washed her hands, and came out to see the person by the dining table move to the floor-to-ceiling glass window to answer a phone call. She didn’t know what was said, but he turned around, his eyes locked onto her.

Soon after, he stretched out his long legs, walked straight towards her, grabbed her hand, and started walking out, ”Chi Enen, come with me to a place.”

Chi Enen was caught off guard by his tugging and stumbled to keep up with his pace, asking as they walked, ”Where to?”

”The beach!”

This time it’s not ’you’ll know when we get there’!

”The beach?” Chi Enen was a bit dumbfounded.

It’s almost sunset now, what are we going to do at the beach? Is he planning to swim?

Doesn’t seem like it.

Then... watch the sunset?

Enjoying a sunset is such an artsy thing, not really Li Beijue’s style.

Probably in his eyes, the sunset is not even as pleasing as the red and green of the stock market.

Then why is he taking her to the beach?

They’ve already had dinner, it couldn’t be to have a beach dinner immediately after, she couldn’t eat another bite now...

The villa they stayed in was just 5 minutes away from the beach, and during the time she was wildly guessing, Li Beijue had already led her to the edge of the beach.
