The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

The look in Director Hou’s eyes was full of trust and expectation, while Political Commissioner Li slightly nodded, and Mr. Qin looked at him.

The conference room was so quiet that one could hear the sound of breathing, and every gaze carried a heavy weight of expectation.

Seeing him still hesitant, Political Commissioner Li stepped forward, speaking sincerely, ”Mr. Jiang, this case is of great significance; now is not the time for modesty.”

”We are all aware of your capabilities, so we earnestly ask you to take on this responsibility.”

Mr. Qin immediately added, ”Jiang, stop declining.”

”You understand the crux of the case better than anyone; this leader position can only be yours!”

Looking at the eager eyes of everyone, feeling the trust and responsibility surging in the air, Jiang An took a deep breath and finally nodded solemnly, ”Since the leaders and colleagues trust me so much, I will humbly accept; I will take on this burden!”

He looked around the room, his tone firm, ”However, I must emphasize — though I am the leader, solving the case relies on collective intelligence.”

”During the investigation, regardless of rank, if anyone has new ideas or good suggestions about the case, please speak freely.”

”We need to pool our wisdom and work together to uncover every valuable clue and strive to find breakthroughs as soon as possible!”

”Yes! Yes! Yes!”

The powerful response echoed in the laboratory, and the flame of determination was kindled in everyone’s eyes.

After a brief pause, Jiang An turned his head, his gaze falling on Director Hou, and said stably, ”Director Hou, since there are no other opinions, I will briefly talk about my preliminary thoughts on the direction of the investigation.”

”There are definitely many immature and incomplete parts, so after I finish, I would appreciate it if you, Political Commissioner Li, and Mr. Qin could supplement and correct them.”

”Mr. Jiang, please go ahead.”

Director Hou nodded repeatedly.

Jiang An slowly surveyed each colleague present, speaking in a deep voice, ”Based on the professional analysis of the victim’s bone fracture patterns in the early stage, it can be determined that the fatal impact came from a large truck.”

”So next, we need to consider: where do such large trucks usually appear?”

”Does their driving route, operational scope match the road conditions and industrial layout around the crime scene?”

”In addition, there’s a very critical doubt — this victim had not been reported missing for a long time; where did he come from?”

”What is his identity? Why has no one searched for him?”

Jiang An’s tone grew heavier as he logically concluded, ”Therefore, I suggest that the upcoming work should focus on two main issues: one is the ’car’ issue, and the other is the ’person’ issue.”

”We can divide the personnel into two groups: the first group will conduct a thorough search and visit the area around the crime scene, with a focus on examining whether there are any missing persons or individuals who suddenly lost contact in recent years.”

”The second group will sort through missing persons’ files across the province, using the estimated age, gender, height, and other basic information of the deceased to match and screen, aiming to confirm the source of the corpse as soon as possible.”

”Yes! Understood!”

A neat and loud response resounded in the laboratory.

After assigning the tasks, Jiang An turned again to Director Hou and Political Commissioner Li, and said sincerely, ”Director Hou, Political Commissioner Li, I suggest that our top priority is to immediately return to the crime scene for a more detailed, targeted re-examination of the surrounding environment.”

Director Hou, with a grave expression, said, ”Then there’s no time to lose; let’s head back to the scene immediately!”
