The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

”But what is certain is that the environment she was in during her lifetime must have been quite impoverished.”

”Only in such an environment would someone be dressed so simply, or even shabbily.”

”Impoverished environment, shabby clothing”—these keywords were like stones thrown into the calm surface of a lake, stirring ripples in the hearts of every participant.

Mr. Qin rubbed his chin thoughtfully and pondered, ”So you mean that this girl might have hastily fled under some special circumstances, or was her body disposed of at the discovery site after a mishap?”

”This conjecture indeed opens up a whole new direction for our investigation.”

As soon as the conclusion was made, Political Commissioner Li nodded slightly, his gaze contemplative, as if sketching a picture in his mind.

He slowly replied, ”This possibility indeed exists. When someone is fleeing in a hurry, they often cannot care about propriety and completeness—not to mention wearing shoes, they might not even have time to dress properly.”

”To an even more extreme extent, perhaps the environment itself never allowed her to live as neatly dressed as an ordinary person.”

For a moment, the laboratory fell into a brief silence.

Everyone fell into deep thought along this line of reasoning, some with furrowed brows, others unconsciously rubbing their notebooks.

They mobilized their accumulated years of investigative experience and intuition, attempting to piece together in their minds the girl’s last experiences in life.

What kind of fear did she endure?

Under what circumstances did she meet her end?

At this moment, Mr. Qin stroked his chin and said, ”If she really escaped, why would she be killed outside?”

”A person who had managed to escape would logically try their best to stay away from danger, so why would she swiftly meet her end?”

As his words fell, Jiang An’s gaze returned to the eerie white bones once more.

His gaze lingered long on the deceased’s rib cage—those peculiar bone fractures.

Like some silent cipher, it stirred a storm of reasoning in his mind.

At length, Jiang An finally raised his gaze, his voice steady and clear: ”Mr. Qin, Director Hou, in my opinion, this deceased may not have been deliberately murdered.”

”Not a homicide?”

Director Hou reflexively questioned, ”Then how do you explain her appearance at the disposal site?”

”The logic of this doesn’t make sense.”

He paused, then continued to add, ”We had already ruled out the possibility of that location being the initial crime scene.”

”And the act of disposing of a body itself often implies an attempt to cover up a crime—if it were a suicide, there’s no need for such an act.”

Just as everyone was plunged into another round of confusion, Jiang An calmly continued his explanation: ”Although the soft tissue on the body has decayed, the bones are relatively intact.”

”Especially the fractures in the rib cage area are very peculiar—the force surface is neat, the fracture direction is uniform, fitting the characteristics of being struck by a flat object at high speeds.”

”Just as the forensic pathologist initially determined.”

He paused briefly, allowing everyone to follow his line of thought, then delivered a crucial conclusion: ”I suspect that the flat object causing these fractures could very likely be the front bumper of a vehicle.”

”Meaning, this might be a vehicular accident caused by the front end of a car colliding.”

Instantly, the entire room seemed to have a mute button pressed.

Everyone was stunned, their faces filled with amazement and disbelief.

To leap from several bone fractures directly to a vehicular accident—this conjecture’s breadth completely surpassed their previous assumptions!!
