The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

”This way, not only will we avoid arousing suspicion among those around us, but we can also make Wu Guang lower his guard.”

Upon hearing this idea, several accompanying officers nodded in agreement. ”Exactly! If a stranger suddenly approaches, Wu Guang might be wary. But if it’s under the guise of ’helping him get medical attention,’ he probably won’t think much of it and might even actively cooperate!”

Wan nodded in agreement and continued, ”Think about it, if I were Wu Guang, hit from behind and my entire body sore, possibly having suffered some injuries, and the other person enthusiastically offers to take me to the hospital, I obviously wouldn’t resist or be on guard, only feel I’ve met a kind-hearted person.”

Thinking of this, Wan looked up at the surveillance equipment along this road. Yet, within his sight, apart from an entrance camera, there wasn’t even a shadow of a surveillance camera on either fork of the road.

Here, at the city’s edge, the location is remote, surrounded only by a few abandoned factories, with very few passing vehicles.

He stood in the middle of the fork, looking left and right, momentarily caught in a dilemma—no surveillance clues, and unsure which direction Wu Guang was taken, left or right? Just as everyone was at a loss, Wan’s gaze fell again on the blood trail on the ground.

He crouched down, inspecting every inch of the land.

Suddenly, a peculiar bloodstain caught his attention.

Knowledge from his criminal investigation classes flashed in Wan’s mind: according to the principles of physics movement, a bloodstain dripping from a body, under inertia, has its tail pointing in the opposite direction to movement.

In other words, if this bloodstain’s tail points right, does it mean Wu Guang was taken to the left?

No, he immediately corrected his thought—certainly, when the bloodstain fell, the carrier was moving right, so the stain was affected by inertia, its tail bending in the opposite direction, which is left.

Thus, Wu Guang was actually taken in the right direction!

Understanding this, Wan immediately stood up and decisively said to everyone, ”Let’s go, fellows, we’re heading to the right!”

Before others could react, Wan had quickly seated himself in the car, hands gripping the steering wheel, swiftly starting the vehicle.

The officers couldn’t afford to ask more questions, rapidly getting into the vehicle and closely following the route to the right side path.

Fortunately, although this path is remote, it has no junctions, extending straight inward.

Yet, as the vehicle advanced, Wan’s doubts deepened—this road does not lead to nearby villages but rather becomes increasingly desolate; trees on either side grow denser, distant silhouettes of rolling hills are vaguely visible, and the air carries a few hints of the unique moistness of the mountains and forests.

After driving for 20 minutes, the car stopped at the foot of the mountain.

Wan turned off the engine, signaling everyone to remain silent.

In the shadow of a large tree not far away, a black motorcycle quietly parked there.

The motorcycle was largely obscured by branches; had it not been for his sharp eyesight, it would have been nearly impossible to spot.

Before the others could get out, Wan turned to the officers inside the car, lowering his voice and saying, ”Brothers, this time we must be careful. The opponent might be well-prepared.”

”Everyone get your gear ready, have handcuffs and batons in hand, prepared for any possible combat! Don’t act recklessly; wait until we understand the situation before making a move!”
