The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

”We will definitely do our best to cooperate.”

At this moment, Wan naturally took over the conversation, looking at him steadily: ”We would like to inquire about an employee at your facility named Wu Guang.”

The man, looking slightly uneasy, raised his hand to rub his temples, gave a wry smile, and explained to the two police officers.

”Comrades, I’m really sorry.”

”Our factory is quite large, currently with over two thousand employees on the job.”

”Suddenly mentioning a name, it’s indeed hard for me to immediately match it up.”

”I’m familiar with most of the heads of various workshops and departments, but there are too many frontline employees, and I have limited direct contact with them in daily operations, so it’s really impossible to know everyone.”

As he spoke, he got up and walked to the desk: ”Please have a seat, I’ll log into the personnel system right now, and we can find out quickly.”

He skillfully turned on the computer, accessed the internal personnel management system, and entered ”Wu Guang” in the search bar.

The system responded quickly, and soon a record of employee information popped up on the screen—Wu Guang, male, twenty-five years old, a frontline production worker.

Immediately, the man turned the monitor towards the two policemen, pointing at the photo and asking: ”Is this the person? Twenty-five years old this year.”

Wan and Qin Feng both leaned closer to the screen, carefully inspecting the work photo.

The young man in the photo had an ordinary face, appearing slightly inexperienced.

But since neither of them had seen Wu Guang in person, it was difficult to completely confirm.

Wan pondered for a moment, further inquiring: ”Is he the only employee named Wu Guang in our entire area?”

”Is there a possibility of someone with the same name?”

Mr. Zhang nodded affirmatively: ”The system shows there’s only this one ’Wu Guang’, no duplicated names.”

Wan then said: ”Then it should be him. Is there more detailed file information available?”

”Yes,” Mr. Zhang answered while moving the mouse, quickly pulling up the complete file, ”Here are his employment records, department transfer history, attendance records, and other basic information.”

Wan took the newly printed file, quickly and carefully skimmed it, then looked up and asked: ”According to the current scheduling, where is Wu Guang? Is he on duty?”

”According to the schedule, he is on the day shift today, so he should be working at his workshop post at this time.”

Wan exchanged a glance with Qin Feng and then said: ”Please take us to find him now.”

”We have a case that requires his assistance in the investigation, as much as possible without affecting production, and it won’t take up too much time.”

The man quickly responded: ”No problem, I’ll lead you over there right away.”

He got up to lead the way, with Wan and Qin Feng following closely behind.

On the way to the workshop, the noise of the running machines gradually grew clear.

Wan slowed down slightly, approached Qin Feng, and in a volume that only the two of them could hear, whispered: ”Did you bring the gun?”

Qin Feng nodded slightly, also speaking in a low voice: ”Yes! Never dare to be careless on field operations.”

In less than 15 minutes, the three of them arrived at the entrance of Workshop No. 5.

Even before entering, the deafening roar of the machines rushed towards them.

The workshop director saw the section chief coming in and hurriedly approached, smiling and making small talk: ”Mr. Zhang, what brings you here today?”

Mr. Zhang pointed to the two policemen beside him and raised his voice: ”Mr. Zhang, these two are police officers from the city bureau, here to ask your workshop’s Wu Guang about some matters.”

”Is Wu Guang at his post right now?”

Mr. Zhang immediately replied, ”Yes! Yes! Yes!”

Then, he turned back towards the work area, raising his voice and shouting: ”Wu Guang! Someone’s here to see you!”

He called several times, but there was no response.
