The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 156: Chapter 136: Major Case Solved, Double Victory!

”If you confess now, it’s honesty.”

”But if you don’t say a word and let me recall the entire crime process for you, you’ve lost the chance to be honest.”

Five minutes later, Zhang Biao spoke up: ”I’ll talk! I’ll say everything!”

Li Jian turned to look at Chen He, signaling to start recording immediately.

Li Jian asked, ”Let’s start with the first case. Why did you kill Liu Jun?”

Hearing Liu Jun’s name, Zhang Biao’s fists clenched tightly.

”Why kill him?”

”He deserved it!”

”He got sick himself and spread the virus to Li Lan, causing her to have cervical cancer.”

Suddenly, Zhang Biao went hysterical, roaring loudly.

”He’s a sinner!”

”He deserves to die!”

After a moment, Li Jian asked, ”How do you know Li Lan’s illness was caused by him?”

”Liu Jun is a beast, he got Li Lan drunk and assaulted her.”

Hearing this, Li Jian was suddenly astonished.

Could there be another hidden case here?

”Did you report this incident to the police at the time?”

Zhang Biao’s eyes turned blood-red as he said, ”Li Lan was worried about her reputation and chose not to report it.”

”When did this happen?”

Zhang Biao recalled, ”I remember it was shortly after the construction site started.”

”At that time, I introduced Li Lan to the canteen on the construction site.”

”It was my fault that harmed her!”

”How did you know Liu Jun was sick?”

”During work, Liu Jun took leave a few times to see a doctor. I saw the bag he was holding was from a men’s hospital; only then, through chatting, did I learn he had the HPV virus.”

Li Jian said, ”But there’s not a direct link between cervical cancer and the HPV virus.”

Zhang Biao said, ”Not exactly, but it’s highly probable.”

”Is this your motive for killing Liu Jun?”

”Actually, I’ve always liked Li Lan. We were elementary school classmates and from the same village.”

”After she grew up, she got married and later divorced, but I still liked her.”

”Seeing how hard it was for her to raise a child alone, I proactively helped her get a job here, not expecting her to encounter that beast Liu Jun, who also infected her with a disease.”

After a slight pause, Li Jian asked, ”Tell me about the murder process?”

”I remember, three months ago, I was on duty as a security guard when suddenly I saw Liu Jun, Chen Feng, and many others returning from a gathering outside.”

”Some were already stumbling drunk. When Liu Jun passed by me, he reeked of alcohol.”

”Liu Jun looks big and strong; if he wasn’t drunk, he’d be hard for me to deal with.”

”As they passed the gate, I heard him say he was going to Building 5 to get a cup, and I thought this was a great opportunity.”

”So, I immediately ran to the kitchen, grabbed a fruit knife, and quietly followed.”

Li Jian asked, ”What were you doing before they came back?”

Zhang Biao recalled, ”I remember that day I went fishing with two friends on the outskirts of Jiangcheng. When they came back, I had just cooked the fish and was simmering it in the pan.”

At this moment.

Outside the one-way glass of the interrogation room, Jiang An, Zhang Yean, and Wan were observing the interrogation.

Hearing this, Wan and Zhang Yean both gave thumbs up to Jiang.

”Junior Brother, you really are insightful. There is a lot of red clay by the pond on the outskirts of Jiangcheng.”

”Moreover, it’s fortunate you found Zhang Biao’s private kitchen.”

Jiang An just smiled and continued to observe the inside of the interrogation room.

Li Jian said, ”Keep going.....”

Zhang Biao said, ”I’m very familiar with the surveillance layout of the entire construction site. While following him, I intentionally avoided the cameras, climbing in through the first-floor window of Building 5.”

”How did you kill Liu Jun?”

”When I got to the 10th floor, Liu Jun saw me and even greeted me, thinking I was on routine security patrol.”

”But when I saw him, I was already filled with rage.”

”I didn’t say a word and directly took out the fruit knife and stabbed him.”

”Even though Liu Jun had been drinking, he was very sober.”

”He stepped back and grabbed my wrist, snatching the fruit knife away.”

”At that moment, I remember not stabbing him.”

”He turned around and threw the fruit knife away.”

”He asked me why I was doing this, and I just said one sentence: ’You deserve it.’”

”Liu Jun cursed at me, called me crazy, and picked up a cup to leave.”

”At that moment, I saw a rebar on the ground beside me, picked it up, and struck him from behind.”

”I remember hitting him on the head, and he fell to the ground at that moment.”
