Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

As soon as she finished speaking, Ji Chuan suddenly turned his head and quickly pecked her on the lips.

”You...” Yan Huan looked at his triumphant smile and couldn’t help but lower her head and laugh.

”Just got married, right?” The taxi driver caught the scene in the rearview mirror, ”You two have a great relationship. I remember when my wife and I just got married, we were as affectionate as you two! My wife was jealous and couldn’t stand me talking to other women; she wouldn’t even let me glance at them... She would make such a fuss... But I was happy inside and liked to see her jealous...”

”Pothole!” Ji Chuan said, looking forward.

”What?” The taxi driver didn’t react immediately.

”Pothole, pothole, pothole!” Yan Huan saw it too.

The taxi driver quickly moved his gaze from the rearview mirror to the road, indeed spotting a big pothole, which scared him into quickly steering the wheel.

”Gave me a fright.” He wiped off his cold sweat.

”We should be the ones scared,” Ji Chuan frowned slightly, ”Please, sir, could you pay attention to the road while driving?”

”Yes, yes, yes! Sure.” The taxi driver nodded repeatedly, muttering to himself, ”It’s just you two are too lively back there.”

.....................

Qin Jian rarely had time to rest at home and originally planned to take An Hao and their older son to see their younger son. However, they received a call from the Lu Family, saying Ji Chuan was coming over today and inviting them to gather and have some fun.

As soon as An Hao heard this, she knew there was something going on between Ji Chuan and Yan Huan.

So she decided to postpone visiting Chenguang for a week.

He Fusheng truly was a good person. He probably thought they hadn’t seen the child for a while.

So, afraid they would miss the child, he sent over a family photo.

In the photo, the child looked like a sturdy little sapling, taller, stronger, with a joyful smile on his face.

An Hao was very satisfied, feeling that the child’s recovery was just around the corner!

Since today was a great day for Yan Huan and Ji Chuan, she definitely had to go.

It’s rare for Yan Huan and Ji Chuan to find their happiness after going through so many hardships, so she had to witness this day of happiness.

”Should we prepare a gift?” An Hao asked Qin Jian, who was beside her while changing clothes.

Qin Jian selected a dark blue shirt and trousers from his casual wear and changed, shedding some of the sternness of his uniform and appearing more handsome.

Even though he was in his thirties, his physique was better than that of a guy in his twenties, which made An Hao very pleased.

”Commander Qin, you’re looking younger and younger.”

”Of course! For my little wife, I must stay forever young!” Qin Jian smiled and bent down to kiss An Hao’s cheek, ”Naturally, we should choose a gift. How about buying a pair of watches?”

”Okay. That’s a good idea.” An Hao agreed.

”Dad, Mom, are you two ready yet? I’ve been waiting here for ages.” Ning Chenyang was getting impatient.

He really admired his parents; every time they met, they acted inseparable, like neither could bear to be apart from the other.

Sometimes he felt like he was a spare part in his own family.

”All set.” Qin Jian walked out and patted him on the back of his head, ”Before we head out, let me give you a lesson. We’re visiting Grandpa Yan’s house today, so behave yourself. Don’t cause any trouble!”
