Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2427: Chapter 2420: Is This... Chocolate?

So, from her deductions, she felt certain that Little Brother’s parents must be like that too.

”No, they won’t be.” Ning Chenguang looked at He Yue’s flushed, adorable face and couldn’t help but pinch her cheek, ”My uncle runs a company! And my mom owns shares in uncle’s company. Every month, my uncle gives my mom a lot of money! So you really don’t have to worry. If mom didn’t have money, she wouldn’t buy so many things for me!”

”Alright then.” Although He Yue didn’t understand what Little Brother meant by ’shares,’ she knew his family was well-off, never lacking for food or clothes, and that Little Brother could buy whatever he wanted.

”Yeah, yeah. So you don’t have to worry!” Ning Chenguang’s plan was crystal clear, ”The first time, I’ll thank everyone! After that, I’ll reward the bravest person in the team!”

This way, everyone would wholeheartedly follow him!

Of course, their team was called the Justice Squad, and naturally, they did righteous deeds and absolutely didn’t do anything harmful.

.........

The meeting place of the Justice Squad was the village’s stone mill.

Pangdi was discussing with a group of little friends about what delicious food there might be this time.

Last time, the cookies Ning Chenguang brought were so delicious. They had grown up in the village and had never tasted such tasty cookies before. That flavor was truly unforgettable.

As they were noisily discussing, Ning Chenguang and He Yue appeared.

”The Captain’s here!”

”Captain! What rewards are you giving us this time?”

All the children here were eagerly looking forward.

”Well...” Ning Chenguang opened the white paper, revealing a pile of small black squares inside, ”Have a bite, these are really delicious! One piece per person, don’t take more!”

The kids obediently lined up, each took a piece, and returned to their spots to eat.

Pangdi looked at the strange black candy and put it in his mouth, snapping off a piece. It had a slightly bitter taste but was surprisingly fragrant.

At first, when he took the first bite, he was a bit resistant.

By the second bite, he had completely adapted to the taste and feel, and even had a sort of insatiable craving for it.

”It’s delicious! So delicious! Captain, what is this black thing?” Pangdi’s curiosity was very strong.

”It’s called chocolate!”

”What’s chocolate?”

”Chocolate is what you just ate!” Ning Chenguang said, ”How do you like the taste?”

”The taste is amazing!” The children said in unison.

”That’s great.” Hearing this response, Ning Chenguang was very satisfied, ”Alright, it’s lunchtime! Now everyone go back to your homes, and find your moms! Dismissed!”

It turned out that Ning Chenguang’s method was indeed effective.

Their mischievous antics were finally discovered by some parents.

A good scolding was inevitable. However, although the members of the squad got scolded, not a single one quit because of their parents’ objections.

Their squad would continue to exist!

Their mischievous antics would keep causing a lot of funny and surprising situations!

For Ning Chenguang, his unfortunate childhood turned out to be rich and colorful because of He Family Manor, because of Yueyue, because of this group of little friends.
