Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2423: Chapter 2416: The Mischievous Kids’ Plan

”Great! Let’s all give a round of applause!” Pang Di was the first to lead the welcome.

Even though he had just yielded to Ning Chenguang, he now greatly admired this boy who was much younger than him.

Especially after he ate the cookies brought back from the city by Ning Chenguang’s parents, he obeyed Ning Chenguang even more.

In his eyes, Ning Chenguang’s family seemed like a dreamland.

A father who is a big official and can bring along guards—how impressive!

A loud burst of applause erupted, with all the squad members clapping.

”Alright! Everyone put your hands down! I will tell you about our mission today!” Ning Chenguang said, walking back and forth with his hands behind his back, ”Liu Qiaoqiao, our family’s troublesome neighbor! She often bullies my kind Aunt Liang. We cannot tolerate this kind of behavior from villains; therefore, we need to teach her a lesson so she understands what it’s like to be bullied. Let’s make sure she doesn’t bully people anymore!”

”Agreed!” The kids all responded enthusiastically.

”Please, Captain, tell us about the next action!” Pang Di shouted.

Ning Chenguang nodded satisfactorily, ”Come, come, everyone gather around!”

As soon as he spoke, all the children quickly crowded around him...

.........

The next day, around noon.

Every household started cooking, and under the blue sky, wisps of smoke began to rise, painting a picture of peace and tranquility.

This was also the time when Ning Chenguang led the kids into action.

As the team leader, he was only responsible for issuing commands, while Pang Di and Qiao Mu were the leaders of the action group. At this moment, Pang Di and Qiao Mu were seen stealthily carrying a ladder from Pang Di’s house.

The ladder at Pang Di’s house was not very large and was relatively lightweight, making it easy to carry around.

The two of them carried the ladder stealthily for about a mile, arriving at the back of Liu Qiaoqiao’s house.

Behind her house, there were no other residences—just a patch of lush, green vegetable fields.

The group of children set up the ladder, and Ning Chenguang led the way, climbing the roof quickly like an agile little monkey.

”Bring your gear and climb up!” he ordered. Four small but nimble boys climbed up, ”The rest of you, go in front of Liu Qiaoqiao’s house and coordinate the action!”

The children standing at the back of the house all agreed: ”Yes!”

”Captain, I’ll come up too! I’ll protect you!” He Mu was worried that Ning Chenguang might accidentally fall. So he volunteered to protect Ning Chenguang.

”Alright, you can come up too.” Ning Chenguang had other considerations in mind, and thus agreed to He Mu’s offer.

............

It was getting late, and Liu Qiaoqiao came out of the house, heading straight to the kitchen to make fire and cook.

She poured water into the big iron pot and then started lighting the fire in the stove wholeheartedly.

The fire was lit smoothly, and the dry firewood caught fire and burned vigorously.

She planned to make dumplings for lunch today. The dough and filling were already prepared, and with nimble hands, she quickly wrapped the dumplings.

The water in the pot was boiling; she placed the dumplings inside and sat in front of the stove, vigorously pulling the bellows to start the fire.

Soon, smoke steadily emerged from the chimney on the roof, becoming increasingly thick.

”Hey! Action!” Ning Chenguang said with a mischievous grin.
