Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2359: Chapter 2352: Visiting Relatives in the City 2

”It’s nothing, a few days ago at kindergarten he accidentally bumped his head, so we’re taking him to see the doctor.” Qin Jian briefly explained to He Fusheng.

”Bumped his head again?” He Fusheng looked worried, ”You should be more careful in the future. That child had his head hit by that bad woman back in the day. When he first came to our house, he often complained of headaches! How is he now?”

”He’s in the car. Just got back from the hospital and fell asleep on the way. He’s been sleeping in his mother’s arms.” Qin Jian glanced back, and An Hao slowly rolled down the car window.

”Brother He!” An Hao greeted warmly with a smile, ”I can’t get out of the car, and don’t stand at the door, come in quickly now that you’re here!”

”Ah, okay! Okay!” He Fusheng felt relieved seeing Qin Jian and his wife being so welcoming.

”Brother He, Yueyue, get in the car! Let’s ride back together!” Qin Jian invited He Fusheng to ride with them.

”Well...” He Fusheng hesitated.

Even though he knew Qin Jian, he was a big official, and he was a farmer working the land. He felt a bit uneasy about riding in someone else’s car.

He didn’t know if he should get in or not.

Qin Jian seemed to see through his thoughts, and he smiled slightly as he tightly grabbed He Fusheng’s wrist, ”Brother He, the way from the gate to home is quite far. Come on up!”

”Ah, okay, okay!” He Fusheng chuckled heartily and bent down to carry the sack.

”Brother He, get in the car!” Qin Jian stopped him.

”You’re the chief here; how can I let you do this? It’s my job to handle the heavy work, I’m a farmer!” He Fusheng wouldn’t dare let Qin Jian carry it.

”Chief, please get in the car! I’ll take care of it!” Xiaozhou said as he effortlessly carried the sack to the car’s trunk.

”I really feel bad.” He Fusheng rubbed his hands, really feeling uneasy in his heart.

He Fusheng got in the car, holding He Yue in his arms, and sat in the passenger seat. In the back seat, Ning Chenguang was deeply asleep, his body occupying most of the seat.

Qin Jian shuffled into the back seat, squeezing in with An Hao and his son.

It’s the first time for He Yue to visit the military compound, the first time seeing so many soldiers. Her big, round eyes were filled with curiosity.

She didn’t say a word, appearing calm on the surface, yet her big eyes were lively and expressive.

”Yueyue has grown prettier since we last met!” An Hao had a deep impression of this little girl.

Later, through her son Ning Chenguang’s explanation, she learned that He Yue was the first to discover him and treated Ning Chenguang very well, always protecting him in the village, which deeply moved An Hao.

”Auntie!” He Yue called out crisply, ”Auntie is the prettiest. My mom always says she’s never seen anyone as lovely as auntie.”

”Yueyue’s words are so sweet.” An Hao laughed, reaching out to touch Yueyue’s head, ”When you grow up, you’ll be far prettier than auntie.”

”Really?”

”Of course!”

He Yue grinned widely, but after glancing at Ning Chenguang sleeping peacefully in An Hao’s arms, her cheerful eyes suddenly showed sadness: ”Auntie, is big brother’s illness very serious? Why is he always sleeping?”
