Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2260: Chapter 2255: Please, Take Me with You!

She turned around, unexpectedly seeing Ning Chenguang clutching her thigh tightly.

”Little sister, hurry and escape!” he shouted loudly.

The little girl quickly turned around and shouted, ”Brother! Dad! Come quickly! I’ve encountered a bad woman!”

At that moment, there was a rustling sound in the cornfield, and a man with a scruffy beard ran over holding his pants, followed by a twelve or thirteen-year-old boy carrying a whip used to drive ox carts.

”Girl! Who bullied you?” the man stared at Yuan Yunong and asked, ”Is it you?”

”Yes! It’s her! She wanted to strangle this little brother!” the little girl pointed at Yuan Yunong and shouted.

”How dare you bully my sister!” Before the man could speak, the boy picked up the whip and fiercely lashed it toward Yuan Yunong.

Yuan Yunong was startled and tried to dodge but couldn’t; she stumbled and fell to the ground, hitting her forehead on a stone, causing dizziness, and she fainted.

”Oh no! Brother killed her!” the little girl widened her eyes in fright.

”Oh dear! My goodness! Did you cause trouble again?” the man tightened his belt vigorously, walked over, and checked Yuan Yunong’s breath, ”She’s still alive! It’s fine! Let’s go, we need to get on the road!”

”Let’s go! Sister!” the young boy tugged the little girl and said, ”Yueyue, time to go home!”

The girl named Yueyue shook her head, pointing at the unconscious Ning Chenguang lying on the ground, and said, ”Dad, brother! Let’s take this little brother with us! If we leave him here, he’ll be murdered by that bad woman!”

”That won’t do! If we take the child away, will that woman agree when she wakes up? The kid and that woman seem to look a bit alike; they’re probably mother and son, right?” the man said in a muffled voice.

”Then we definitely can’t! That wicked mother will kill the brother!” little Yueyue said.

”Nonsense! Even tigers don’t eat their cubs! How could his mom kill him? Yueyue, we should leave quickly. See, I told you not to run around, not to run around! Just while I’m squatting, you cause trouble for me!” the man scolded Yueyue loudly.

”But, the little brother is really pitiful...” Yueyue looked at Ning Chenguang lying on the ground; he seemed almost unconscious.

”Dad... Take him with us! This kid looks so pitiful!” the young boy’s compassion was also stirred.

”No way. Who is this kid? Where is he from? We don’t know anything. What if we take him away and his parents get worried, then what?” the man thought more thoroughly.

Encountering a scene like this out in the wilderness, and coming across a mysterious child, who would dare take him away?

”She’s a bad person! She wants to kill me! Take me away, take me away!” Ning Chenguang struggled to open his eyes and said weakly, ”Save me! I’m feeling terrible!”

”Dad! Take him with us! Take him!” As soon as little Yueyue spoke, Ning Chenguang began to vomit violently.

”Alright then! Quickly, He Mu! You carry this child, and let’s take him to see a doctor!” the man said.

”Great! Great!” Yueyue jumped up excitedly, ”Brother, it’s up to you now!”

”No problem! Come on, let’s get on the cart!” The young boy He Mu squatted down to carry Chenguang and walked out of the cornfield. A bull cart was parked at the edge of the field, and he placed Ning Chenguang onto the cart.
