Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2240: Chapter 2235: One More Person, One More Problem

Hua Jin slipped into the restroom in the hallway, took out the bottle of inhalation anesthetic from his pocket, and poured some onto a handkerchief.

He then put it back into his pocket and hurriedly went to chase An Hao.

An Hao hadn’t gone downstairs yet, Hua Jin quickened his pace, and when she reached a spot on the staircase where there were few people, he pulled out the handkerchief and covered her mouth and nose from behind.

At this moment, he didn’t care anymore; whether anyone discovered the scene no longer mattered.

An Hao felt dizzy, couldn’t react, and fell down.

Hua Jin picked her up horizontally and strode downstairs.

As he passed by General Surgery, he encountered several acquaintances.

They saw Hua Jin carrying An Hao and were shocked, their eyes wide open.

Who doesn’t know An Hao is Qin Jian’s wife? Who also doesn’t know An Hao is the daughter-in-law of the Commander?

And the doctor was carrying her in public, hurriedly walking towards the hospital exit, how could this not cause gossip!

”Dr. Hua! Where are you taking Dr. An?”

”What’s wrong with Dr. An?”

Hua Jin shouted loudly without turning his head: ”There was some incident at Dr. An’s home! She just received a call from her husband and fainted! Her husband is on the way, and I’m taking her to the entrance!”

Hua Jin’s words were logical and persuasive, no one would doubt them.

So, before Qin Jian arrived, he successfully got An Hao into a taxi.

Soon, the taxi carried them away from the hospital.

After circling around much of the city, they arrived at a relatively quiet hotel.

He registered a room here and brought An Hao with him.

His plan took its first step.

Now he just waited for Qin Jian’s reaction.

Qin Jian hurried to the hospital, jumped out of the military vehicle, and headed straight upstairs to the operating room.

He had just entered the hallway when the nurse stopped him: ”Commander Qin, you’re late, I couldn’t stop Dr. An earlier. She said something happened at home and she needed to go downstairs to wait for you.”

”I didn’t see her downstairs!” Qin Jian’s face changed suddenly, a bad feeling welling up inside.

”Isn’t it possible something happened to Dr. An?” The nurse muttered, ”Just now in the hallway, I saw how anxious she looked and tried to persuade her to stay. She refused and kept walking out. Dr. Hua followed, fearing anything might happen.”

”You mean Hua Jin?”

”Exactly, it’s him

!”

Qin Jian mentally exclaimed that things had gone wrong; his worst fear had come true.

Originally, he thought he would arrive first, but unexpectedly, An Hao had left the operating room earlier.

He hurried downstairs, passing through General Surgery, and happened to meet those acquaintances again.

They all knew Qin Jian was An Hao’s husband and, seeing Qin Jian’s heavy expression, quickly asked him: ”Dr. An, how’s she doing?”

”What?”

”We just saw Dr. Hua carrying Dr. An downstairs; he said something happened at home, and Dr. An fainted from worry, so he carried her to the hospital entrance to wait for you?”

”When did this happen?”

”Just now! Five minutes ago!”

Qin Jian instantly understood, Hua Jin hadn’t waited for him at all, An Hao was most likely abducted by Hua Jin!

But wouldn’t Hua Jin escape more easily on his own? Why take An Hao along?

Having another person only makes things more troublesome!
