Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2180: Chapter 2175: I Have the Right Not to Answer You

”I’m afraid Dr. An will be even angrier after hearing about it!” Yuan Yunong said softly, ”Let’s forget it. I actually don’t want to cause any more trouble. I just want Captain Qin’s help. I really love teaching young children!”

”I will help you! Come with me if you trust me!”

Yuan Yunong looked at Qin Jian, who spoke with such sincerity, and with a slight smile at the corner of her mouth, she said, ”Okay!”

..................

An Hao was cooking in the kitchen, with the two children sitting cross-legged on the sofa reading. An Hao was busy in the kitchen, sweating, as she carefully prepared dinner.

From outside came the sound of the door lock turning. Qin Jian entered the house with Yuan Yunong.

”Dad!”

”Teacher Yuan...”

The two children were slightly surprised to see their father bringing their teacher home.

At their age, many things were still unclear to them, but through the adults’ words, they could sense something.

It seemed Teacher Yuan’s relationship with their mom was no longer good, and Teacher Yuan liked coming to their house, wanting to... wanting to replace their mom...

An Hao heard the children’s voices and then came out of the kitchen.

She saw that Qin Jian was back, and behind him was Yuan Yunong. An Hao knew that tonight a big drama was about to unfold.

So, she put on a stern face and asked Qin Jian, ”Why is she with you?”

”Dr. An, I...” Yuan Yunong started to explain.

An Hao frowned, her gaze falling on Qin Jian’s face: ”I’m not asking you, I’m asking him! Qin Jian, explain this to me, what’s going on?”

”It’s nothing! I came back to ask you what happened at the kindergarten today? Why do you lay all the blame on Teacher Yuan and, together with Liao Ting, insist in front of all the parents that Principal fire Teacher Yuan?”

”Are you here to question me?” An Hao pointed at Yuan Yunong and said, ”Did she come to find you? Or did you two have an appointment beforehand?”

”That’s none of your concern; it has nothing to do with the question I’m asking now! Just answer my question!” Qin Jian said with a stern face.

”Why shouldn’t I be concerned? I’m your wife! I have the right to ask this question! Answer me!” An Hao raised her voice a bit, her expression becoming even uglier than before.

”I also have the right not to answer you!” Qin Jian replied bluntly to An Hao.

Seeing that a battle was about to start between the two of them, Yuan Yunong quickly stepped forward, blocking Qin Jian, and said, ”Dr. An! Don’t be like this, this has nothing to do with Captain Qin! I was the one who went to find Captain Qin! I didn’t go to complain about you! I just wanted Captain Qin’s help! I don’t want to lose my kindergarten teaching job!”

Before Yuan Yunong could finish speaking, An Hao swung her hand and slapped Yuan Yunong hard on the face.

Smack!

The crisp sound of the slap hit Yuan Yunong’s face, and Qin Jian was momentarily stunned.

Yuan Yunong cried out and fell dramatically into Qin Jian’s arms. An Hao raised her hand high again, about to hit Yuan Yunong’s face, but Qin Jian raised his hand and firmly grabbed her wrist, immobilizing it.

”Let go of me!” An Hao shouted loudly.

”Why should I let go? Let go so you can keep hitting people?” Qin Jian’s voice also rose a few notches.
