Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2102: Chapter 2097: Keep Your First Kiss to Yourself

Tian Niu left, Qin Jian turned around and saw Zhao Dong still standing behind him, grinning foolishly, ”Why are you grinning like that? Didn’t you have something to discuss? What do you want to discuss with me?”

”Well... hehe... Captain, sister-in-law’s cooking is really delicious.” Zhao Dong’s smile turned flatteringly.

”Hmm, and then?”

”I was thinking... could it be possible tonight...”

”Dream on!” Before Zhao Dong could finish his sentence, Qin Jian unapologetically shot him down.

”Captain! Don’t be so stingy! Look at how much salary you get in a month, right? And sister-in-law is a doctor, she earns quite a lot, and moreover... isn’t your brother-in-law running a vegetable company? A little food and drink won’t make you poor, right?” Zhao Dong said with a smile.

”No way! Your sister-in-law is too tired!” He had helped An Hao clean up for a long time after they left yesterday, a pile of pots and pans, the cold water was freezing and he was stuck there for ages.

This bunch of guys, after dinner, just lift their legs and wipe their mouths, and leave, isn’t it his wife who has to clean up?

”It’s just one meal! Only adding one more pair of chopsticks!” Zhao Dong pleaded.

”No way! She’s not your wife, you don’t feel sorry for her!” Qin Jian refused resolutely.

He realized his subordinates were getting more and more audacious, one meal wasn’t enough, now they had their eyes on more, absolutely not!

”I would love to have a wife to care for too! The key is, do I have one? I don’t! Am I not just trying to figure out how to get a wife? Captain, I’m begging you! Can you and sister-in-law help me out?” Zhao Dong finally revealed his real purpose.

Zhao Dong wasn’t young anymore, and still didn’t have a wife.

In their infantry battalion, there were quite a few who were no longer young and unmarried.

Now many people were saying that any battalion Captain Qin Jian led, would end up with many aging bachelors.

Why?

Because they all wanted to follow Qin Jian’s example!

He got married at thirty, to a wife eleven or twelve years younger, who is beautiful and capable!

Who wouldn’t want such a good thing?

Upon hearing Zhao Dong voice his thoughts, Qin Jian grinned, ”Alright then, tell me, who have you got your eye on?”

”Yuan Yunong!”

”You’ve got good taste! You know how to pick!” Qin Jian said with a smile.

”Yes! I’ve got an eye for this! Captain, I’m begging you, invite Yuan Yunong to your house, and I’ll come over to join dinner too! We have to create an opportunity for us!” Zhao Dong said excitedly.

”You think of my home as your dating spot? Can’t you take her out somewhere?”

”She doesn’t pay any attention to me. If it were possible, you think I’d want to date with a couple of extra bright bulbs around?” Zhang Dong said, frustrated.

”I can arrange to meet her, but change the dinner venue! It’s definitely not happening at my place.” Qin Jian laid down his terms.

”Alright! As long as you can get me to sit and eat at the same table with Teacher Yuan, whatever you say goes!” Zhao Dong readily agreed.

”Then you go back first. I’ll go home and discuss with your sister-in-law to see which day is convenient to invite Yuan Yunong out!”

”Great! Captain, you’re my savior!” Zhao Dong’s eyes sparkled with joy, ”If you weren’t a man, I would really pounce on you and give you a couple of kisses.”

Qin Jian shot him a side glance, full of disdain, ”Keep your first kiss to yourself!”
