Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2085: Chapter 2080: Would You Call This Fate?

Yuan Yunong walked in with a smile, holding a bouquet of fresh flowers in one hand and a bag of fruits in the other.

She wore a black coat, her long hair falling over her shoulders. Perhaps her outfit was too cool-toned, so her face was adorned with a bright and stunning makeup that instantly caught people’s attention.

Zhao Dong felt as if his eyes were dazzled by a burst of vivid brilliance, and then he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

”Let me introduce her to everyone! This is Yuan Yunong, she’s a kindergarten teacher! A good friend of Qin Jian and mine, but unfortunately, she doesn’t do this job anymore, which is really a pity...”

”Although I left my previous kindergarten, I’ve started working at another one! The kindergarten in our military district!” Yuan Yunong said with a smile, ”But what I didn’t expect was that you guys are here too! I happened to run into Commander Qin on the road today, and he invited me to join you for a housewarming, so here I am. Well, from now on, I’ll have the chance to teach Chenyang and Chenguang again!”

”Did your previous director recommend you to come here?” An Hao asked, somewhat surprised.

”Yes.” Yuan Yunong hadn’t expected that she’d end up working here, ”Dr. An, isn’t this fate?”

”Of course! This is such a huge stroke of fate! Teacher Yuan, please have a seat!” An Hao welcomed Yuan Yunong inside, and suddenly, the room felt crowded and lively.

A group of people joked around and chatted, the atmosphere was very congenial.

An Hao chatted with them for a while, then got up to prepare food in the kitchen. Seeing that there were so many people for dinner, and only An Hao cooking, Yuan Yunong ran over to help.

Seeing so many people, An Hao planned to make a few small dishes for them to start drinking, and then make some dumplings herself. While she was preparing the vegetables, she saw Yuan Yunong entering after taking off her coat.

”Dr. An, let me help you cook! Just tell me what you need done,” Yuan Yunong said.

In her own home, she would never let guests help: ”No need, I can handle it myself! These things, I’m good at them!”

”But isn’t it lonely to cook alone? I might not be much help, but I can keep you company and chat!”

”Since you suggested it! Alright then, stay and keep me company!”

.....................

Gu Shuangshuang couldn’t cook, so she played with Nannan in the living room along with Ning Chenyang and Ning Chenguang, listening to the men chatting away.

After chatting for a while, Zhao Dong suddenly changed the subject and brought up the issue of Qin Jian being investigated previously.

”Commander, we’ve all heard about what happened to you before. We heard some important secrets were leaked! But since the secrets were leaked, why did they look into you? It couldn’t have been you, right? So why suspect you?”

The question Zhao Dong asked was actually something both Tian Niu and Yan Ye wanted to ask as well.

Because this issue had quite an impact on Qin Jian. The military wouldn’t award anyone with an unclear status any accolade.

Furthermore, this could even affect the future.

A person can be without merit, but cannot have faults.

If one’s not careful, all past achievements and honors could possibly be erased.
