Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2061: Chapter 2055: Mysteries and Intrigues

But this time, Ning Yibin decided to use his authority to make things easier for his son.

Because he could not believe that his son would commit the crime of embezzling and selling state secrets.

To Ning Yibin, a soldier’s absolute loyalty to the country is not something others should casually question.

He can allow others to question whether he has done his work well, but they must not question his loyalty to the country.

”Why release him without a result? Does that mean he still has to cooperate with the investigation in the future?” An Hao urgently asked.

”It should be.” Qin Jian frowned slightly and said lightly.

Although he said when he left that he never wanted to meet Section Chief Zhen again.

However, if this matter is not clarified, it would be impossible for him not to meet Section Chief Zhen.

”Son, you can’t solely rely on the National Security Bureau to investigate this matter. You have to pay attention yourself too. Although you’re back, as long as this matter remains unresolved, the suspicion on you cannot be washed away.” Ning Yibin said, ”If you can’t clear it, this will be a stain that follows you for your whole life. You are still young, and the road to your military career is long; you cannot let this matter end your path prematurely.”

The meaning of his father’s words was clear to Qin Jian.

”Don’t worry! I will definitely find out everything! It’s very possible that someone is framing me! No matter what, the amount of data leaked this time wasn’t a lot! But, I’m sure there will be more actions coming.”

”Absolutely!” An Hao couldn’t help but worry, ”It seems that the person stealing the data is very skilled! They did it flawlessly! There’s not a single trace or flaw to be found. I think there must be some skilled spy near you.”

”This person must be deeply hidden!” Ning Yibin said.

”Should be.” Qin Jian chewed on a steamed bun, his mind racing, ”Looking back now, the National Security Bureau’s investigation into me isn’t without reason.”

”What do you mean?” Ning Yibin put down his chopsticks and looked at Qin Jian, asking.

”Dad, this car accident was deliberate! It wasn’t coincidental as we thought before! Now I’m thinking, who could know my actions in advance, know my route, and deliberately arrange this car accident?”

Before this, they had been focusing on how the data was leaked.

And never paid attention to this car accident.

Now that the car accident is proven to be deliberate, it means someone knew Qin Jian’s route and purpose beforehand.

How did others learn about it?

”Who did you mention to that you were going to the ordnance bureau to deliver the data for a report?” Ning Yibin stared intently at Qin Jian.

He suddenly sensed that this matter seemed not so simple.

”An Hao.” Qin Jian said with certainty, ”This operation was extremely confidential! Because many messages before were leaked inexplicably, I was very careful this time.”

”What? You only told me?” An Hao looked at Qin Jian in shock, ”How could that be possible? I definitely wouldn’t say anything! You wouldn’t suspect I’m that spy, would you?”

Seeing An Hao suddenly agitated, Qin Jian found it amusing and naturally raised his hand, patting An Hao’s head: ”How could you be? What I meant was I only told you.”

”You mentioned you had something important to do, but you didn’t say what exactly! What about in the military? Didn’t you tell someone else?” An Hao asked.
