Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1958: Chapter 1951: Unlucky for 8 Lifetimes

After hearing this, An Hao turned around and left.

She felt this whole thing was a joke, that Second Uncle didn’t forget to squeeze money from her even on his deathbed.

He really treated their family like a bank, just taking money whenever he wanted.

Where in the world is there such an easy thing?

.....................

Jiang Guixiang waited for two days but saw no movement from An Hao, so she angrily went to the hospital.

An Hao had a surgery to perform in the morning, and when she arrived, An Hao was hurrying importantly into the operating room.

Seeing this, Jiang Guixiang blocked An Hao at the doorway and said, ”An Hao! Shouldn’t people keep their word? What did you promise me two days ago? Didn’t you agree to give money for the treatment? Where’s the money?”

”I have a surgery to perform now. Let’s talk about the money afterwards.” The operating room was ready, the lead surgeon was already there, and as the first assistant, she couldn’t be late.

”If you don’t give the money, you’re not going anywhere!” In Jiang Guixiang’s eyes, nothing was more important than her husband’s life.

”Stop making a scene. The patient is already on the operating table, I can’t delay for a moment, I must go now. I will arrange something for Second Uncle’s treatment, just go back and wait.” An Hao said.

”Don’t lie to me!” Jiang Guixiang was filled with anger, her husband was dying, yet An Hao, his niece, seemed not to care at all and was still thinking about the patient in the operating room.

Impulsively, she pointed at An Hao’s nose and cursed: ”I know, you’re just waiting for Second Uncle to die! What you say sounds nice, but you really don’t want to help us!”

”It’s not like what you think! I will arrange for Second Uncle, but at least let me finish what I’m doing!” An Hao said anxiously.

”You said you would arrange it before! And what happened? Did you arrange it? No, you didn’t. In your heart, you’re just waiting to watch our misfortune! You’re deliberately making us anxious, feeling pleased with yourself!”

Jiang Guixiang’s words got more and more intense, her anger grew more and more.

”Watching your misfortune!!!” An Hao was originally in a hurry to head into surgery, but upon hearing this, her anger matched her anxiety, ”I went to your house yesterday, guess what I overheard at the front door? Even on his deathbed, Second Uncle was plotting to get money from me! Does our family owe you anything or are we destined to be at your service? Having a blood relation with you is a disaster!”

”You overheard that?” Jiang Guixiang looked at An Hao in shock for a long time and then suddenly burst into curse, ”Now it makes sense why you wouldn’t give the money, because you heard it! Your Second Uncle may be confused, but I am not! You must have also heard that I always wanted him to get treated! But you just won’t give the money, you want to watch your Second Uncle die! You want to see us in trouble! I know, we’ve spent a lot of your family’s money, and you’re not okay with it in your heart! Now you’ve got a perfect opportunity, and you’re just folding your arms and watching the show!”

”You...” An Hao was really infuriated by this unreasonable aunt, ”Think whatever you want! I, An Hao, have done right by the heavens above, right by the earth below, and right by my conscience! You can interpret it however you like.”

After speaking, An Hao was about to leave, just as a nurse from inside the operating room came out, urging her continuously: ”Dr. An, hurry up! Dr. Lu is already urging you!”

”I am going right away!”
