Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1892: Chapter 1893: You are very similar to her

Seeing the situation, she became frightened. Without waiting for the other family members to return, she rushed straight to the affiliated hospital with the child in her arms.

”It’s a good thing you came in time. If this high fever continues, it could damage the brain. Now I’ll hook the child up for the night, and you all sit nearby to monitor. Let me know immediately if anything happens.” The emergency doctor prescribed medication, and the nurse started the intravenous drip for the child. Only then did the young woman feel relieved.

Seeing things were fine here, An Ping was about to leave when the young woman called him: ”I really want to thank you for today! If it weren’t for your help, I’m not sure how long it would have taken me to find this place. If something happened to the child, I’d be too ashamed to face my brother and sister-in-law.”

”You’re too kind. I merely pointed you in the right direction, didn’t really do much else,” An Ping said a bit embarrassed.

The young woman blinked her bright eyes at him, then reached into her bag and took out a handkerchief to offer to An Ping: ”Look, you’re sweating so much, wipe it off!”

”No, it’s alright.” An Ping waved his hand repeatedly, but still used his sleeve to wipe the sweat beads off his forehead.

The young woman chuckled, grabbed An Ping’s hand, and stuffed the handkerchief into his palm: ”If you don’t take it, I’ll just wipe it off for you.”

”No... I better do it myself!” An Ping quickly wiped his forehead sweat.

Holding the slightly damp handkerchief in his hand, he felt awkward about whether to return it or not.

The young woman’s keen mind saw An Ping’s awkward situation at a glance, and she smiled lightly: ”Just give the handkerchief back to me...”

”How embarrassing...”

”What’s there to be embarrassed about?” The young woman snatched the handkerchief from his hand and looked at him attentively.

Her big eyes, like glistening black grapes, were very beautiful. She gazed at An Ping’s face, making him momentarily flustered and at a loss.

”Why... why are you looking at me like that?” An Ping asked.

”I feel like you resemble someone I know... very much so...”

”Who?”

”Even if I tell you, you wouldn’t know her. Her name is An Hao, she’s a good friend of my sister-in-law.”

”An Hao is my sister! If you say she’s friends with your sister-in-law, then you must be Captain Tian’s sister?” An Ping laughed and introduced himself, ”I’m An Ping, An Hao is my sister.”

”Really? No wonder I thought you looked so much like her. I’m Tian Ermei. Everyone calls me Ermei,” Tian Ermei said excitedly, ”An Ping, you’re just as kind-hearted as your sister! Thank you so much for today.”

”It’s what I should do!” An Ping was even more embarrassed by her praise, his ears were starting to feel hot, ”Why is it you bringing the child, what about Sister Shuangshuang?”

”She went out shopping for groceries. Who knew so much would happen in such a short time?” Tian Ermei lowered her head, speaking with frustration, ”I haven’t lived in this city for long. Many things here are unfamiliar to me...”
