Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1856: Chapter 1856: You Are Not Allowed to Insult the Dignity of Soldiers

In an instant, everyone’s eyes turned to An Hao.

“Are you the rich one? Pay up now!” the leader of one of the groups said, “I’ll give you one day to gather the money. Otherwise, none of you will leave!”

“You sure have some nerve.” An Hao was filled with anger, not at all afraid of this group of people, “This is the PLA Military Affiliate Hospital. Everyone working here comes from a military background! Do you dare to act recklessly here?”

“Damn! How should I care about hospital affairs? I’m just here to collect a debt! I chased you all the way from another city for this money! Even if the sky falls today, I must collect this debt.”

Lending money at high interest is a kind of civilian activity. As long as the interest is not excessively high, it’s not considered illegal in legal terms! This is a gray area, not easy to define its nature.

However, if violence is used to collect debts in this way, then that’s considered illegal.

They were engaging in illegal acts, yet they dared to come into the hospital to cause trouble.

“I’m getting the money today as well.”

Three debt collection teams, three leaders, all three of them burst out.

“I have no money. Really, no money!” Tian Hui was scared, being young and not wanting to die, he kneeled on the ground crying and begging, “Please show mercy, sirs!”

“No money? Who the hell are you trying to fool? You claim you have no money yet your whole family went out to eat in restaurants? Ghosts would believe your lies! I don’t care what you eat, I just want the money! And I want it now!” The debt collector was furious, grabbed An Hui by the collar, and slapped him hard.

Blood immediately flowed from the corner of An Hui’s mouth.

Jiang Guixiang crawled over, tightly hugging her own son, pointing at An Hao and said, “She has money! She really has money! She can pay off the debt!”

“What if I don’t pay?” An Hao asked.

“Then I will kill them!”

“Do as you please! Kill them, and all debts will be written off! We’ll have fewer parasites dragging us down! You’d actually be doing society a favor! I’d be all for it! Furthermore, this is a hospital. You kill them here, and the hospital will save them right after! Since this is a military hospital, it could capture you all without any effort!” An Hao remained calm.

She had already seen through everything that could be seen.

“You’re trying to scare us! We are willing to risk our necks for this job. Who’s afraid of you!”

“Exactly! Exactly!” everyone in the ward was shouting.

“What are you yelling about? This is a hospital ward, not a marketplace! Those not involved, leave at once! Any disputes, settle them elsewhere! Leave the hospital ward immediately!” Ji Chuan, doing his rounds, heard the commotion and stepped in to intervene.

The result was that the debt collector punched him to the ground.

“Director Ji!” An Hao quickly knelt down to help him, “Are you okay?”

“What are you so cocky about? Who are you yelling at with such a loud voice?” The debt collector spat at Ji Chuan.

“You’ve gone too far!” The bodyguard who had been with An Hao stood up, “This is a military hospital, how dare you cause trouble here! Everyone out!”

“Well, well! Now any soldier is cocky! Dressed in green, really thinking of themselves as the embodiment of justice! What nonsense!”

“You are not allowed to insult the military uniform! Insulting the dignity of soldiers is not tolerated!”

Thus, a fight broke out.

The ward turned into chaos.

With a father’s eyes filled with heartache and helplessness, the uncle scared and curled up, the aunt and the cousin hugging each other tightly in the corner, the bodyguard being mobbed by the debt collectors, and doctors and nurses rushing forward to break up the fight.
