Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1675: Chapter 1676: Will I Be Fired?

”Injuring the sentinel? Escaping?” Lin Sheng’s face suddenly changed color, ”What happened here?”

”I don’t know.” The warrior was also confused.

”Zhao Dong, didn’t I ask you to keep a close watch on his movements? How could you let him do such a thing?” Qin Jian was instantly furious, the negative impact a warrior could cause by doing such a thing was tremendous!!

This was Lin Sheng destroying his own future.

Qin Jian suddenly had a terrible headache. He raised his hand to grab his hair and roared at Zhao Dong: ”Go! Find him and bring him back to me!”

”Yes!” Zhao Dong waved his hand, and the warriors hastily redressed in their uniforms they had just taken off and tightened their belts to search for Lin Sheng.

”Commander, I’m going too...” Zhao Dong turned around, grabbed the hat on the bed, put it on, and was about to leave.

”Wait!” Qin Jian called out to him, ”How did Lin Sheng perform during the drill? Did he exhibit any unusual behavior?”

Zhao Dong recalled Lin Sheng’s performance today; it seemed quite ordinary and without any unusual behavior.

”His performance was good today. Ever since I punished him last week, he’s been training very hard,” said Zhao Dong.

”I see. Go ahead.”

When he came out today, Mu Mian was still standing there waiting for him.

”Big Brother Qin, I just saw a lot of people running outside, but I didn’t see Lin Sheng. What happened?” Mu Mian asked with confusion, watching the warriors continue to run outside.

”Lin Sheng has run away,” Qin Jian told her truthfully, ”and he’s made a big mistake - he injured a sentinel while escaping!”

Mu Mian’s face instantly turned pale: ”Will he be discharged from the military because of this?”

”With such severe circumstances, even if he’s not discharged, he’ll receive a major demerit!”

”How could this happen? Why would Lin Sheng make such a mistake? He loves being a soldier so much, how could he do such a thing!!”

Although Lin Sheng was somewhat poor, he generally was a peaceful person.

It was truly inconceivable that he could do such a thing.

”Lin Sheng became very strange not long after he enlisted,” Qin Jian furrowed his brows tightly, his jawline tense, clearly signaling his displeasure at the moment.

Despite owing a favor to Lin Sheng, Qin Jian couldn’t tolerate this kind of negligent attitude.

In his heart, he wanted to cultivate Lin Sheng into an exceptional talent.

Not just let him idly finish these three years of mandatory service and go home.

”In what way was he strange?” Mu Mian seemed to understand the reason for Lin Sheng’s odd behavior, but she wasn’t quite certain.

”He’s been distracted during training. Always inquiring about some barely significant matters,” Qin Jian said thoughtfully.

”Has he always been like this?” Mu Mian asked.

”No, it’s only been recently,” Qin Jian replied, and then, as if struck by a flash of insight, suddenly understood something, ”Mu Mian, is Lin Sheng’s issue related to you?”

Mu Mian lowered her head and remained silent.

”If it’s related to you, it’s better to tell me. Let me help you solve the problem. If you all keep hiding it like this, then I can tell you, Lin Sheng will eventually be ruined by this one thing. Don’t you both hope for him to be a soldier? To be an upright and honorable serviceman!” Qin Jian said very seriously, even sternly.

”I understand,” Mu Mian said, lifting her head with a much more resolute expression, ”I know what I should do!”
