Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1578: Chapter 1578: As Long as the Green Mountains are Preserved, There Will Be No Shortage of Firewood

”Sister, since you and your husband are going out to eat, I’ll head back!” An Ping sighed and stood up to say goodbye.

Seeing him in this state, An Hao was also not at ease letting him go back alone.

Since it’s just a meal, if two people eat, three people can eat as well; it’s just one more person.

”Why don’t you just not go back and join us for dinner? It’s already mealtime, why would you go back?”

”Forget it, sister.” An Ping shook his head and refused, ”I’ll go back and wait for your news, I have no appetite and don’t want to eat.”

”An Ping, life always involves going through some storms, don’t keep worrying, there’s always a way!” Zhang Yun joined in persuading An Ping, afraid he might be despondent.

Although the company was gone, Zhang Yun felt very sad too.

An Hao had invested a lot of effort and money in the company!

Just when it was about to start making a profit, this had to happen, who could bear it?

”I know... but I just feel heavy in my chest, I can’t swallow anything, feel choked!” An Ping said with a sad face.

”As long as the green mountains are there, one need not worry about firewood! Think positively, An Ping, this matter makes everyone uncomfortable, but we still need to eat. You should come too, lest your sister worry about you.” Zhang Yun didn’t treat An Ping as an outsider, seeing him in pain made her, as an elder, very anxious for him.

”Okay... well, alright.” An Ping nodded and agreed.

After getting in the car, the commissary directly took An Hao to the State Guesthouse Grand Hotel.

”Why are we here?” An Hao was surprised, the food and drinks here were exorbitantly priced, not a place for ordinary people to dine.

People who come here to eat are usually business folks or those who went abroad in the early eighties to make their fortune, and now they have all come back, very wealthy and big bosses.

This place has style and class, not something ordinary people can afford.

”The brigade commander is inside, sister-in-law, come up with me,” the commissary said.

”Really? I feel a bit uneasy.”

”Sister-in-law, you really don’t need to be uneasy, the brigade commander is just on the second floor...” Before he could finish, someone above called out An Hao’s name.

She looked up and saw Qin Jian poking his head out from a window on the second floor: ”An Hao, come up!”

Seeing Qin Jian, An Hao felt relieved.

She is now extremely cautious because of Guan Qing’s scheming, very careful and cautious with everything.

Afraid that a careless mistake could involve Guan Qing’s scheming, it would be troublesome.

The second floor, private room.

The room was bright and sunny, neat and elegant, with several potted welcoming pines giving the room a different feel.

Qin Jian was sitting by the dining table, he stood up to greet both An Hao and An Ping.

”You’re treating? Why choose this place to eat? It’s excessively expensive!” An Hao said as she sat down.

”Sorry, brother-in-law, I’m also just here to freeload a meal!” An Ping followed.

Qin Jian smiled and poured tea for both of them: ”It’s actually not me who’s treating, the host is someone else.”

”Qiushu?” An Hao couldn’t think of anyone else besides Lin Qiushu who had the financial means to treat them here.

”Smart! You guessed right!” Lin Qiushu pushed the door open and walked in with a smile, ”Sorry to keep you waiting! I’m treating today! Order whatever you want.”
