Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1575: Chapter 1575: Collusion in Depravity

”Bold! And visionary! I, Hou Zicheng, like women with such foresight! Come, let’s drink to your upcoming victory, Businesswoman Guan!” Hou Zicheng raised his glass high.

”Wrong, not just me, but us,” Guan Qing said with a charming smile. ”How much capital do I have here? If it weren’t for your money, how could I afford to take on so much produce?”

When signing the contract with An Ping, she had already made her moves in secret, arranging everything.

She had signed agreements with all the local farmers at a price five percent higher than what An Ping offered them. Furthermore, she demanded these farmers keep the deal strictly confidential and not leak the news in advance.

Should the news be leaked, they would refuse to take back the produce.

This was a very tempting offer, and the farmers chose to stay silent, selling their vegetables to Guan Qing, who thus acquired all the available produce in the vicinity.

Based on her own estimations, if An Ping failed to deliver on time, the entire loss would be on him. If it came to the point where he had to pay double in compensation, he would certainly struggle to come up with the funds.

As a result, his vegetable company could be used to settle the debt.

The company would then be transferred to Guan Qing’s name.

At that time, how to handle the company would be her business. Of course, the first thing she would do is to send the vegetables over to the company to deal with them.

She would recover the costs she had put out, thus pulling off a profitable scheme out of nothing.

An Ping’s company would fall into her hands.

When the time came, she would set her terms. She wanted to personally watch An Hao cry in front of her, to make An Hao apologize to Hen Zhiyuan herself.

She wanted to thoroughly humiliate An Hao, to completely crush her self-esteem.

”I’m an old friend of Businesswoman Guan, so of course, I’ll help!” Hou Zicheng said with a beaming smile. ”Naturally, as a businessman, the benefits Businesswoman Guan promised me will not be lacking, right?”

”Don’t worry! I am absolutely loyal to my friends! Helping me means I won’t let you down either. Once I take over the vegetable company, I’ll pay back all your money. The same, I’ll give you five percent interest! That’s not a small sum, right? Are you satisfied with the price I’ve offered, Mr. Hou?”

”Satisfied! Very satisfied! I am absolutely looking forward to more collaborations with Businesswoman Guan in the future!” Hou Zicheng said cheerily.

”Yes! I also appreciate a straightforward man like Mr. Hou! Here’s to our pleasant collaboration!” Guan Qing raised her glass, clinked it with Hou Zicheng’s, and downed her drink.

”Oh! By the way, Businesswoman Guan, I’ve yet to meet your husband, Commander He, since your wedding. If you have the opportunity, bring him out; we can get together more often! I admire Commander He very much and would like to be friends with him!” Hou Zicheng said.

”Sure, no problem! But sadly, he’s no longer in the service. Just call him by his name. It’s better not to mention ’Commander He’. It would make him uncomfortable hearing it. He loved being a soldier too much, so after so many years in the military, it’s difficult for him to suddenly take off the uniform and adjust to his new life.” This was something that had always been a regret and a headache for Guan Qing.
