Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1571: Chapter 1571: Set Up by Someone

She had visited several places in succession, with the same disappointing result each time.

At this moment, An Ping suddenly had an epiphany; he had been set up by someone.

Indeed, there was nothing wrong with the contract itself. The problem lay with the supply. He had no idea which vegetable company was against him.

Or perhaps the problem was with the woman who had visited the other day.

An Ping’s mind was in utter chaos.

The thought of his company soon going under was as painful as being sliced with a knife.

”Let’s go, back to the city.” He didn’t continue to look further; he now understood that someone had plotted against him.

This matter was no small issue, and he feared that he couldn’t handle it alone. It seemed that he must seek help from An Hao for a solution.

Before the trouble occurred.

An Ping hoped it was not too late and that there was still time to salvage the current situation.

Dinner had just ended.

An Hao had just bathed the two children and put them to bed, and was about to go for a stroll with Qin Jian, when she was blocked at the door by An Ping.

”Why are you here?” An Hao asked in confusion, ”Why come at this time? Have you eaten?”

”Sister...” An Ping looked up at An Hao, his mouth twitching, tears almost falling, ”There’s trouble!”

Upon hearing this, An Hao’s body jerked backward, almost toppling over: ”An Ping, be clear with your words. I can’t take this blow.”

”Sister, I suspect I’ve been set up.”

”How could that be? I looked over the contract for you, and it was fine.”

”The issue is not with the contract, but with matters outside of it.” An Ping recounted the situation to An Hao, leaving her nearly fainting after hearing it.

”If you anticipated issues with this aspect beforehand, why didn’t you sign a contract with the vegetable farmers?” Though Qin Jian didn’t understand business, he grasped the crux of the issue upon hearing this.

”It was my oversight. We already had a standing contract between us.” An Ping explained.

”This involves spot purchasing!” In an age where contracts are essential, a contract represents everything. Qin Jian might not be in business, but he understood that much from listening.

”Three illiterates. Running a company that only does small deals, but it all falls apart when faced with a big client.” An Hao felt like vomiting blood from the shock of the news, ”It seems we can’t let the company keep operating like this.”

”Sister, what should we do? I’m really a blockhead; I can’t do anything right.” An Ping blamed himself.

”No, it’s not your fault. People progress by making and correcting mistakes. I believe you will do better next time after going through this,” said An Hao.

”But... at the cost of the company’s demise once again?” An Ping’s eyes reddened, and tears began to flow.

”Don’t cry! A man should not shed tears. In that case, let’s find a place to sit down together and discuss some possible solutions,” Qin Jian took out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to An Ping, ”Dry your tears!”

”Thank you, brother-in-law.”

The three of them found a relatively quiet place to sit down in the military compound.

”Come on, let’s hear the details,” An Hao said.

”Sister, I now have some suspicions about the boss of Nanguofeng; I feel that something isn’t quite right with this whole affair!” Otherwise, why would things have turned out this way?
