Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1559: Chapter 1559: I Trust My Intuition

After Guan Qing left, An Ping spent a few days intensely studying the contract.

Ever since the last big setback, An Hao strongly suggested that he attend night school to study business, particularly focusing on contract signing.

So, he did understand some of the content.

During this period, all their contracts and orders were signed by him with the clients, and the operations had been running quite smoothly without any major issues.

”How about it? You’ve been doing nothing else these past few days, just burying your head in that contract over and over. It’s just a few lines of text; what, is something going to bloom from it?” Liu Xiaolian grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds, sitting beside An Ping watching him study the contract.

”Yeah, I’ve pretty much studied it all.” An Ping straightened up and looked away, ”This clause is quite strict, maintaining the freshness of the vegetables, the quantity, and the delivery time. Nothing else though.”

”So, you mean it’s okay to sign?” Liu Xiaolian asked.

”I think it’s okay.” An Ping put down the contract, and after a thought, he added, ”Isn’t it just delivering vegetables? Why are there such detailed stipulations? Isn’t this woman playing some tricks on us?”

He was indeed a bit uneasy.

”That can’t be, right? She has opened four Nanguofeng outlets. Do you know what everyone says about Nanguofeng? They say that the female boss made her fortune through honesty! Maybe she made the terms so detailed because she wants to build a brand. You’re afraid of being tricked, but isn’t she also afraid of being tricked by you? So, all these clauses are just self-protection, right?” Liu Xiaolian argued.

An Ping felt there was some sense in his words.

But still, he hesitated to sign.

”What’s the matter? Still afraid to sign? Is it really necessary?” Liu Xiaolian couldn’t help but mock An Ping, ”Where did the confidence go when you used to sign business deals with grand gestures? Why are you so hesitant now?”

”I’m scared of being tricked by women.”

”Psh. It’s not that you’re scared of being tricked by women, but you were blinded by love.” Liu Xiaolian said cheerily, ”If you really feel uneasy, why don’t you ask Sister An Hao to check it for you?”

After some thought, An Ping replied, ”I might as well ask my sister. After all, this order isn’t small.”

To be safe, he decided to consult An Hao.

The quantity of vegetables ordered by the owner of Nanguofeng almost amounted to more than half of his warehouse.

How many people had to eat to need so much?

If more than half of the warehouse stock was gone, it meant that a significant part of his capital would be tied up and not easily recoverable.

It would be okay if nothing went wrong, but if problems arose, it would be troublesome.

”Alright. Since there’s a precedent, we should learn the lesson.” Liu Xiaolian also supported An Ping’s caution, but he still felt that Guan Qing was a decent person, and added, ”That boss is nice. I don’t think she will trick you! I trust my instinct.”

”I don’t even trust myself, how can you so confidently trust yours?” An Ping asked.

”That day we talked a lot about our vegetable company. Initially, she planned to purchase directly from the farmers, which she found troublesome. She also feared issues during transportation, so I took the chance to introduce our company, and brought this business in,” Liu Xiaolian explained.

”So, you’re saying I should thank you?”

”Hehe. Just give me a nice tip later.” fr eewe(b)nove.l.co\m

”Alright. If it really works out. I’ll really give you something. I’m off to see my sister at the military compound.” Saying this, An Ping left with his things.
