Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1403: Chapter 1403: Foolish Guy

The other battalion commanders couldn’t hold it in and started to snicker secretly.

When Battalion Commander One saw everyone laughing, he got even more excited, ”Commander, do you think your little treasure at home has enough food?”

Suddenly, the meeting room fell silent.

Oh my! This Battalion Commander One really has a death wish!

Was he making a spicy joke about the leader?

Qin Jian was indeed provoked by Battalion Commander One. How could there still be such a foolish guy in his troop?

But this guy was outstanding in training and fighting, though he was a bit off in everyday matters, he compensated for it in military affairs.

Thus, Qin Jian had mixed feelings of love and hate towards him.

”Battalion Commander One, how does it feel to tease your superior to his face?” Qin Jian sat down, opened the notebook in front of him, and asked.

”Hehe, you’re not mad, right? Just a joke.” Battalion Commander One, not quite able to read the expression on the commander’s face and unsure whether he was upset, decided it was wiser to tread carefully.

”Not too bad, a bit upset. Would you like to experience a bit of it?” Qin Jian frowned at him.

”Let’s not, shall we?” Battalion Commander One quickly waved his hands.

”Experience it for a bit! Come on, everyone, let’s air out Battalion Commander One’s bad habits, the more the better, and the more detailed the better.”

As soon as Qin Jian finished speaking, everyone started chiming in.

”Picks his feet and then eats.”

”Wears the same shorts for a week without washing.”

”Sneaks peeks at the female soldier Xiaohong Ying from the cultural troupe taking a bath...”

”Big brother! Everyone! Commander! Please, everyone, have mercy!” Battalion Commander One almost wished he could sink into the floor.

Qin Jian watched as Battalion Commander One’s face turned as red as a monkey’s butt and then waved his hand to signal everyone to stop, ”Battalion Commander One, remember the lesson! Let’s start the meeting!”

Before the meeting, as if they had rehearsed it, everyone shouted to him in unison, ”Congratulations on your new son, Commander!”

”Thank you! I’ll invite everyone for the full-moon celebration.”

After the meeting, Tian Niu came to the commander’s office.

”Commander, is your sister-in-law at the hospital or has she gone home? Shuangshuang and I will go visit.”

”She’ll be discharged tomorrow. You and Shuangshuang come over to my place tomorrow! We haven’t sat down for a good chat in a long time.”

”No need. Your sister-in-law and the kid need rest. We better just visit the hospital!”

”Alright.” Since Tian Niu insisted, Qin Jian let it be.

In the evening, the two arrived at the fourth floor of the hospital. Seeing An Hao sound asleep, Tian Niu took a look at the child and greeted Zhang Yun, then left after setting down some things.

Qin Jian walked him to the corridor.

Tian Niu stopped and said, ”Shuangshuang just started her internship. She’s dead tired. I visited her once and told her the situation! She really wanted to come, but can’t right now. She’ll visit your sister-in-law when she’s on break.”

”I know. How are things going with you and her marriage?” Some time ago, Tian Niu had visited Gu Shuangshuang’s house, and they had set a date for the wedding.

”If everything goes well, we’ll get married before the end of the year! Commander, don’t forget my big red envelope!” Tian Niu chuckled.

”Sure. You do your job well! I’ll definitely give you a big red envelope!” Qin Jian was strict when needed but generous when it came to treating his troops.

”At that time, I actually hope to have twin boys just like you, Commander. That would make my mom so happy.” Tian Niu truly envied these children.

”Then you’ll have to work hard at it,” Qin Jian said with a smile.

”I’ll try to succeed in one shot!” Tian Niu burst into laughter.

After seeing Tian Niu off, Qin Jian returned to the hospital room. At that moment, a woman with a pale face and colorless lips emerged from the hospital’s water room.
