Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1323: Chapter 1323: Sky-high Price

”How much money will we likely need?” Qin Jian asked An Ping.

”Sis, how much?” An Ping only knew it was a substantial sum but was unclear about the exact amount.

An Hao paused to think, ”Starting from registering the company to renting space, hiring staff, and then stocking goods, it will probably take tens of thousands.”

”Tens of thousands?”

”Above sixty or seventy thousand.”

”Why would it need that much?” Qin Jian gasped in shock.

”To run a wholesale company like this, you have to go big! I want to seize all the markets right from the start,” An Hao, clenching her fist, said with full confidence, ”As long as the money is in place, I guarantee this business will be easier to run than before, and the returns will come faster.”

”So money is the biggest issue.”

”Mm-hmm,” An Hao nodded.

”Why don’t you come back with me tomorrow? Once we’re back, we could try to borrow some, see if we can get any?” The family had a little over twenty thousand in total.

This sum wasn’t small, but it was still far from what An Hao had anticipated.

”That might work,” An Hao considered and replied, ”But I feel like the chances of borrowing money are slim.”

”Even so, we have to try,” An Ping said, patting the table, ”Every penny is accumulated bit by bit. Although it’s not much, if we borrow from several places, it can add up.”

”An Ping is right, borrowing a little is better than nothing. When the time comes, we’ll see how much we’re short and figure out a solution together,” Qin Jian said.

”Yeah. That’s all we can do,” An Hao nodded.

An Ping felt deeply grateful seeing Qin Jian’s commitment to helping the An Family.

He picked up the liquor bottle, poured two glasses, and offered one to Qin Jian, ”Brother-in-law! You are too generous! I thank you! No more words needed, it’s all in the drink!”

”Cheers!”

After drinking quite a bit, An Ping felt that was enough and had some food with Qin Jian, then left early.

An Hao too felt full and very satisfied.

She brushed her teeth, washed her face, and then lay back on the kang bed.

Qin Jian also finished up, took off his shoes, and lay down beside An Hao, gently hugging her, ”Haven’t seen you in a few days, and the belly has grown again.”

”Yeah! It’s getting more tiring. I hope they come out soon,” An Hao, touching her belly, let out a deep sigh, ”Do I look very ugly now?”

”Not at all! You’re becoming more and more womanly,” Qin Jian said with a smile.

”Alright. I’ll take your word for it,” An Hao snuggled into his arms and said, ”I want to get the company up and running before giving birth.”

”You are already so heavy with child. You should involve yourself less in this matter and let An Ping handle more,” Qin Jian was concerned for his wife.

”I know! Right now, the real problem is getting the loan,” An Hao said after thinking for a while, ”I have a way to raise money... but I’m not sure whether I should really do it.”

”What way? Tell me about it,” Qin Jian said softly.

”Do you remember that bracelet?” An Hao asked.

”Of course, I remember.”

”I’m thinking of selling the bracelet!”

”How much could a bracelet be worth?” Qin Jian was not aware of the value of the jade bracelet.

”A sky-high price,” An Hao slowly uttered the two words.

This time, it was Qin Jian who was stunned, ”Can it be worth that much? How can you be sure?”

”I’ve had it appraised! The bracelet is definitely a rare treasure!” However, she had previously encountered Lin Qiushu, who might have already sold the bracelet by now.
