Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1196: Chapter 1196: Every Family Has Its Own Hardships

”I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” Zhang Yuzhi, seeing she had stirred up Zhang Yun’s sad memories, apologized profusely, ”I’m just angry with this girl. Can you believe she’s this old now, and yet she’s not even considering finding a partner? These past few days, we finally got someone to introduce a few men to her, and she’s been standing them up one after the other.”

”So she’s not satisfied with any of them?”

”Exactly! Picky and choosy with no end in sight! This morning someone introduced her to the commander of a reconnaissance battalion, and they had agreed to go see a movie.”

”Don’t tell me she didn’t go?” guessed Zhang Yun.

”She went, but only to catch a glimpse of him, and then told him she doesn’t like the military profession. She likes doctors now. Without letting the man say a word, she turned around and left. Is that frustrating or what?” Zhang Yuzhi’s heart was broken over both of her children, yet none of them appreciated her feelings.

”If the child doesn’t like it, then just introduce someone else! Matters of the heart can’t be forced,” Zhang Yun consoled her.

”If she keeps delaying, she’ll really end up an old maid.” If she’s thirty already, who would want her?

She’s already infamous in the military, with a label attached to her. Young and flourishing young men, who would want to find such an older ’old maid’?

”Finding a doctor is easy to say. Xiaoye is a doctor after all; just pick a reliable one from within their ranks to introduce to Huanhuan, what’s wrong with that?”

The mention of this almost drove Feng Yuzhi to her grave: ”Yan Ye has just one thing to say, ’Mind your own business less, and when fate arrives, things will naturally work out.’”

An Hao couldn’t help but laugh: ”That’s really in line with Teacher Yan’s style.”

”Isn’t it?” Zhang Yuzhi sighed deeply and said to An Hao, ”I know you’re quite busy too. If you have time, please go and sit with Yan Huan. Advise her for me. My words are like water off a duck’s back to her; they don’t enter her ears at all. Perhaps your persuasion might be useful.”

”Of course. As long as Yan Huan accepts my advice, I will definitely try to persuade her,” An Hao promised, patting her chest.

After saying goodbye to Feng Yuzhi, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law left the military compound and headed to the market to shop.

As she walked, An Hao wondered whether Yan Huan really had someone in her heart already?

Could it really be Cheng Yue?

An Hao found that she really couldn’t fathom Yan Huan’s thoughts...

Since Feng Yuzhi had entrusted her with this matter, she must find a time to talk to Yan Huan.

At the very least, to fulfill the task Feng Yuzhi had given her.

That morning, Zhang Yun had brought back a large piece of beef, and it was An Hao who cooked beef and potatoes for everyone.

Now, already three months into the pregnancy, the vomiting reaction had completely stopped.

It was now the time when her appetite was great; she ate the most in one meal.

This made Zhang Yun extremely happy; the more An Hao ate, the better her body would be, and the more nutrition the baby would receive.

The thought of holding two heavy grandsons by winter filled her heart with immense joy.

Having eaten a little too much for dinner, An Hao slumped on the couch feeling uncomfortably full.

”Silly girl. Got your chance and just gorged, didn’t you?” Qin Jian sat beside her, gently rubbing her stomach.

”Nonsense, you try going two months without being able to eat properly,” An Hao rolled her eyes at him, and the most crucial thing was that she simply couldn’t suppress this strong appetite.

”Alright, get up. I’ll take you for a walk,” Qin Jian suggested.
