Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1163: Chapter 1163: Do You Know What’s Good for You?

Cardiac Surgery Ward.

Yan Ye led the doctors on their rounds when, from a distance, he saw a figure in a straight military green uniform approaching.

He stopped in his tracks and said to the doctors beside him, ”You go on with the rounds.”

So, he stood still, waiting for the other to approach, ”Staff Officer Qin, what brings you here today? To grace my tiny plot of land?”

”I have something to discuss with you,” Qin Jian said.

”Is it about your father not feeling well?” Yan Ye asked reflexively.

After all, his interactions with Qin Jian weren’t frequent, and if it weren’t for Ning Yibin being unwell, he probably wouldn’t have come to see him.

”No, this time I’m here because of An Hao. I have some matters I want to inquire about from you.”

”Let’s talk in my office.”

Yan Ye invited Qin Jian into his office and turned around to pour him some tea.

”No need to go to all that trouble. I just have a few things to ask and then I’ll leave,” Qin Jian said.

”Alright,” Yan Ye nodded, ”Just speak frankly about whatever it is you want to discuss.”

”An Hao mentioned that she and Ruan Fangfang were both interns in Cardiac Surgery. I want to inquire about Ruan Fangfang.” In the past, he and An Hao had been distant, and being in different military regions meant he couldn’t look after matters close to An Hao.

Now that he was back, there were some matters that needed to be dealt with.

”What, has Ruan Fangfang caused more trouble?” Yan Ye naturally thought of this when Qin Jian asked the question.

”Yes.” Qin Jian briefly recounted the events of the previous night to Yan Ye, ”She actually did that to An Hao. I wasn’t around An Hao before, so I was oblivious to such things, but now that I’m back and aware of the situation, I can’t allow such a dangerous person to remain by her side.”

She was pregnant now, and who knows what else she might do to her.

Upon hearing this, Yan Ye was shocked for a couple of seconds.

Apparently, Ruan Fangfang’s actions had exceeded his understanding.

”It is indeed excessive,” Yan Ye said, frowning. ”Previously, An Hao told me that she had even hired someone to try to break his right hand.”

”That’s why I want to get her away from An Hao.” Although this way might not completely eliminate the danger, there was one thing for sure—at least, she wouldn’t be able to linger around An Hao anymore.

No longer could she harbor such malicious intentions and harm others unnoticed.

”Alright. Just give me a moment.” Yan Ye pulled out all the records and evidence of the last time Ruan Fangfang prescribed the wrong medicine to a patient, and how An Hao had helped remedy the situation, and handed them over to Qin Jian.

”What is this?” Qin Jian didn’t understand.

”This is the patient’s medical record. It also contains the factual evidence of Ruan Fangfang’s mistake. Show this to the dean, and in addition, I suggest you visit General Surgery and find Ji Chuan again. He has been leading Ruan Fangfang recently, and if he can step forward and say a word, it should be very effective.” Yan Ye finished speaking and then remembered something else, adding, ”Ruan Fangfang’s family should be acquainted with the dean, oh right, Ruan Fangfang didn’t graduate from the Military Medical University.”

Hearing this, Qin Jian had a fairly clear understanding in his mind.

”Thank you, Yan Ye,” Qin Jian stood up to leave.

”Don’t mention it; I also want to do something for her,” Yan Ye said casually.

Qin Jian raised an eyebrow, ”I didn’t realize you cared so much about her.”

”Don’t you have any sense?” Yan Ye glared at him, ”She’s my student, and also Ning Uncle’s daughter-in-law. No matter how you look at it. I have every reason to help her.”
