Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1138: Chapter 1138 The Door Is Always Open for You

”Dad, don’t put yourself down. What’s done is done, let’s focus on improving our family business from now on,” An Hao had been thinking about this issue for the past few days, ”First, we need to expand the market. Once things stabilize, I think we should recruit talented professionals from society to help us manage.”

”I hear that people in the city are setting up their own companies!” An Ping had done some research too, ”Once our business grows larger, I’ll set up a company as well.”

”We’ll have to see what the market demands,” An Hao said with a smile, ”Work hard, and if one day you can’t make it anymore, I’ll really come looking for you!”

”Don’t worry, sis!” An Ping put his arm around An Hao’s shoulder, ”If you ever get tired, just come back. The doors of your family home will always be open for you! I am here to have your back.”

An Hao chuckled, but as she laughed, her eyes reddened and tears shimmered in her eyes: ”My silly little brother! You’ve grown up and become sensible!”

What comforted her even more was that in this life, it seemed her fate was utterly different from her previous one.

”It was me who was immature before, you tolerated me. Now that my brother has grown up, it’s my turn to protect you,” An Ping clenched his fists and said very seriously to An Hao.

”Jerk, you make it sound so touching,” An Hao could hardly hold back her tears.

”Silly sister!” An Ping couldn’t help but mock her, ”A moment ago you were like a female bandit, ordering me to smash and hit at someone else’s place, and now you start crying over a single sentence! That’s not your style!”

”What is my style?” An Hao asked, wiping the tears from the corner of her eyes.

”Of course, you’re fierce!” An Ping laughed heartily.

”I think you’re asking for a beating if you don’t get beaten every three days, aren’t you?” An Hao cursed.

Seeing the siblings laughing and talking so affectionately, An Shuchao felt very gratified.

The children had all grown up, each had their own set of theories and rules for doing things, all stronger than him. He could rest assured now.

The Qin Family.

After An Hao left, Li Junping came out to check.

She found the vegetables on the ground had been trampled into mush, and she felt a raging fire of nameless anger building up inside her.

She really wanted to find an excuse to have an outburst!

In the house, Qin Ru Hai sat on the bed smoking his dry pipe and pointed at Qin Fen, ”Kneel down!”

”Dad! What are you doing?” Qin Fen refused to kneel.

”I told you to kneel down, did you hear?” Qin Ru Hai raised his voice an octave, shouting angrily.

Qin Fen shuddered in fright and said uneasily, ”A man’s knees are valuable; how can you ask me to kneel so casually?”

”I’m your father! When I say kneel, you kneel,” Qin Ru Hai banged on the table, roaring furiously.

For the first time in many years, Qin Fen saw Qin Ru Hai so enraged.

He fell to his knees with a thud, terrified.

”Slap yourself in the face!” Qin Ru Hai ordered.

”What? Am I hearing this right?” Qin Fen was astonished.

”You heard right, I want you to slap your own face.”

Li Junping heard another commotion inside the house and hurried in, saying to Qin Ru Hai, ”Don’t make him slap himself anymore! Look at the state of his face—it’ll swell up like a pig’s head by tomorrow. How will he face anyone then?”

”He already has no face! To do such a shameless thing! Saying you’re ungrateful hits the nail on the head,” Qin Ru Hai’s words were harsh, each one piercing their hearts.
