Chapter 1092: Chapter 1092: You’re Going to be a Father

”Okay, stop looking. It’s too cold. Let’s hurry home,” Zhang Yun said as she took the lab report from his hands, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it away.

She pulled An Hao into the car and pushed the food she had bought into her hands, ”Eat as much as you can! Your body needs to be strong for the baby to be strong.”

Back at the military compound.

An Hao felt tired and went upstairs to sleep.

It was right of Qin Jian to ask for leave for her; she really had exhausted herself too much, especially now that she was carrying twins.

Though it was only the state of a gestational sac, it had already caused quite a reaction in her.

If she didn’t rest, she might truly wear herself out.

Downstairs, Zhang Yun was busy preparing a variety of dishes for An Hao.

Chicken, fish, ribs—she made a little bit of everything, so if An Hao wanted something, it would be ready for her.

After cooking, Zhang Yun started calling Qin Jian and Ning Yibin.

Both men were so delighted they couldn’t stop grinning.

Qin Jian came home early that afternoon and went upstairs to see An Hao, who was sleeping soundly, her whole body nestled in the blankets, a sweet smile at the corner of her mouth.

Qin Jian was infected by her happiness and couldn’t help but smile, too.

He walked to the bed, lifted An Hao’s blanket, and his rough hand slipped beneath her clothes, gently stroking her flat and smooth belly.

In her sleep, An Hao faintly felt someone touching her body.

She slowly opened her eyes, meeting Qin Jian’s smiling gaze.

”Is it really twins?”

”Mhm,” An Hao wrapped her arms around his neck and spoke softly, ”Qin Jian, this time you’re really going to be a father!”

Qin Jian contained his joy, leaning down to kiss An Hao’s lips, ”My wife, you’re amazing! Twins at once!”

An Hao choked on her own saliva and coughed twice, her cheeks flushed as she said, ”Clearly, it’s you who’s amazing!”

Qin Jian laughed and asked, ”When did it happen?”

An Hao did some quick calculations, ”If I’m not wrong, it should have been that night of the New Year’s Eve.”

Qin Jian nodded in satisfaction, his brother-in-law’s words turned out to be quite prophetic.

The couple shared a tender moment until Qin Jian suddenly realized a problem.

”If you’re really pregnant, does that mean I have to abstain for the next ten months?”

An Hao smiled and pressed her lips together, ”Of course! What did you think?”

She certainly wouldn’t tell him that once the baby was stable later on, they could still maintain intimacy.

Qin Jian frowned, caressing An Hao’s belly and muttered, ”You little rascals. Arriving and already competing with me for your mom? Once you’re born, I might have to give your little bums a good spanking!”

An Hao burst into laughter, ”Is that how you’re going to be a father?”

”I’m just teasing you. I’ll be too busy doting on these two treasures when they’re born to even think about laying a hand on them.” These were the little lives he had long awaited.

Looking into her husband’s tender eyes, An Hao’s heart melted like water.

She hoped these peaceful and beautiful days would continue forever.

An Hao was lost in thought when Qin Jian told her, ”After I got the call from Mom today, I sent a telegram to Dad and An Ping to share the joy with them.”

”What did my dad say?” An Hao asked, leaning on Qin Jian’s chest.

”He said he’ll come to see you in a few days when he’s less busy.”

”Good. Dad rarely visits, so when he does, you must be sure to take good care of your father-in-law.”

”Don’t worry.”

Upon learning of An Hao’s pregnancy, An Shuchao was overjoyed. That very evening, he cooked himself two dishes and poured two glasses of wine to celebrate.
