Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1048: Chapter 1048: Break Her Leg

”You’re cheating and you think you have the right to?!” Qin Fen raged, grabbing Song Yueqin’s hair and tearing it violently, ”Don’t even think about it! I won’t divorce you! Let me tell you, you’ve destroyed my beautiful aspirations for love! Even if I die, I won’t let you off easy.”

”You’re a lunatic! A madman!” Song Yueqin cursed loudly.

”Even if I am a madman, it’s you who made me this way! You ruined me! I will ruin you too! That way, we’re even in life.”

As he spoke, Qin Fen slapped Song Yueqin to the ground with a backhand swipe and picked up a hoe, smashing it down furiously onto her legs.

”Qin Fen, what are you doing... Ah!!” Song Yueqin screamed in agony, fainting from the pain.

The commotion at the Qin Family was substantial, and after hearing it, the neighbors rushed over to see what had happened.

Seeing the scene, they all turned pale with fright.

Someone ran specifically to Song Yueqin’s maternal home to call out Zhang Juyun, telling her that her daughter was in trouble.

Zhang Juyun and Song Jincai rushed over in a panic and saw Song Yueqin with her legs broken by Qin Fen’s hoe, infuriating Zhang Juyun to the point of fighting for her life.

”Are you insane? What did my daughter ever do to you! You beast! How could you beat her like this!” Zhang Juyun attacked Qin Fen, scratching and pinching, crying with snot and tears flying everywhere.

”Ask her about the great things she’s done!” Qin Fen yelled.

”Stop fighting! Get Yueqin to the hospital first!” Song Jincai shouted.

Seeing the situation, the villagers hurried over to help.

Those who lifted the injured, lifted her; those who gathered belongings, gathered them. Eventually, they got Song Yueqin to the town hospital.

The doctor said both legs were fractured and needed to be set in plaster for recuperation, with at least three months to heal!

After the plaster was applied, Song Yueqin was in excruciating pain.

Zhang Juyun was so heartbroken that she insisted on taking Song Yueqin away from the Qin Family.

After returning, she planned to make a scene at the Qin Family, forcing Qin Fen to divorce Song Yueqin. But only when she went to the Qin Family did she learn that it was Song Yueqin who had cheated behind Qin Fen’s back.

Qin Fen said he would never divorce! He refused to divorce even if it killed him!

In the end, both the Qin Family and Song Family were helpless, and they had to let their marriage continue.

However, the beating Song Yueqin took meant she wouldn’t be able to get out of bed for at least three months!

Thinking about the events of the day, she was so frightened that she shook all over, having nightmares one after another for a week.

The incident at the Qin Family spread throughout the village overnight.

Naturally, it also reached An Hao’s ears.

At dinner that night, An Ping said to An Hao, ”Sister, you have no idea, your brother-in-law almost beat his wife to death! It was brutal, he broke both her legs with a hoe!”

An Hao listened calmly, certain that Qin Fen must have discovered something between Song Yueqin and that man.

That’s why he was so enraged.

But all of this was Song Yueqin’s own fault; no one else was to blame.

You can’t wrap fire in paper; her affair with that man was bound to come out, it was just a matter of sooner or later.

”Now it seems, a man like my brother-in-law is really rare! He treasures you, centers everything around you! You are truly blissful,” An Ping said.

”Indeed,” An Hao nodded in agreement.

In her previous life, her relationship with Qin Jian was distant. She had far worse conflicts with the Qin family members than Song Yueqin and her family had now.

Mother-in-law, uncles, and sisters-in-law, those people were enough to drive anyone mad with their incessant troubles.
