Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 981: Chapter 981 She is far more terrifying than you’ve ever seen

”The bee met the flower.”

”Wrong! It’s the fly that met the shit!”

”Enough! Can’t you guys let someone eat in peace?” Cheng Yue had had enough of his two detrimental friends, and simply picked up his meal and moved to An Hao’s table.

Conveniently, he also had something to ask An Hao!

”I’ve seen the content of the posters on the blackboard at the entrance. You’re saying Lei Linxuan plagiarized your thesis?” Cheng Yue inquired.

”Do you believe it?” An Hao didn’t directly answer his question, but instead asked him in return.

”I believe you’re definitely not lying!” Cheng Yue felt that An Hao would not stay up all night for nothing, posting so many Chapters on the blackboard, but there was one issue, ”If you say she plagiarized your thesis, why didn’t you write out the details of how it happened?”

”The thing is, I don’t know when she plagiarized it! After reading her paper, I could confirm it. Though it was the same thesis topic, it’s impossible for the content to be eighty or ninety percent the same, right?” An Hao let out a deep sigh.

”I won’t say any more than needed. I want to help you with this,” Cheng Yue put down his chopsticks and spoke to An Hao, ”I don’t think posting on the blackboard is a good choice, as it may cause Lei Linxuan to be even more afraid to come forward and admit it. Wouldn’t it be better to submit your thesis to the school and see what kind of punishment they would give her?”

”Are you sincerely trying to help me?” An Hao looked at Cheng Yue.

”Of course.” He felt that he and his sister had indeed caused An Hao a lot of trouble, and he was guilty, so he had always wanted to do something to help An Hao and make up for his wrongdoing.

An Hao nodded, and after pondering for a few seconds, she finally said, ”If I were Lei Linxuan, could you believe that she might have plagiarized my paper without knowing it?”

”What do you mean ’without knowing it’?” Cheng Yue was confused by An Hao.

”Never mind. I won’t beat around the bush with you,” An Hao said directly, ”Your sister Cheng Yu was guiding Lei Linxuan on this thesis. Lei Linxuan couldn’t find any clues on how to write the paper, but after my father-in-law was hospitalised, it took her only about a week to not only finish the paper but also submit it for publication.”

”You suspect that my sister did it?” Cheng Yue looked at An Hao in astonishment.

”Do I have a reason to suspect her? Do you think my suspicion is correct?” An Hao asked.

”So... you did this – creating public opinion in school, putting pressure on Lei Linxuan, so that she would point out that it was my sister’s doing?” Cheng Yue stared straight at An Hao.

”That’s what I was thinking.” The school can investigate Lei Linxuan, and she just has to insist on not admitting to it, which won’t cause her any harm.

And once it’s in the past, it’s in the past.

But the direction of public opinion is different; it creates immense pressure.

Under such pressure, naturally, it would draw attention from various parties, and eventually, school leaders, in an effort to mitigate the impact, would take the initiative to investigate those involved.

What’s more important is that Lei Linxuan would be under pressure, forced into a corner, with no way out but to reveal who was behind her.

By doing so, she would have to tell the factual truth.

This way, she wouldn’t have to bear the responsibility for plagiarism, shifting the major blame onto Cheng Yu instead.

An Hao’s words were like a boulder thrown into the serene heart of a lake, stirring Cheng Yue’s emotions into a turbulent swell: ”Are you talking about my sister here?”

”Your sister is far more terrifying than you think,” An Hao said what she needed to say and then lowered her head to continue eating.
