Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 976: Chapter 976: Are you worried about being blamed or punished?

An Hao shared her thoughts with Gu Shuangshuang.

”No way? Since she returned, she barely had any interactions with you, how can you be so sure it was her?”

”Who else could it be?” An Hao couldn’t think of a second person.

”Okay. Since you’re so sure, should we try to find a way to definitely expose her!”

”We must!” That malicious woman!

This malicious woman, she had to reveal her true face!

.......................................

Lei Linxuan had almost fled from her dormitory in a panic, and only after seeing An Hao’s paper did she understand why An Hao treated her with such an attitude.

Perhaps, if it were her, she might have gone up and slapped her straight away.

Yes, she had plagiarized An Hao’s paper, but it wasn’t intentional!

Lei Linxuan, gasping for breath, rushed to the faculty building and ran all the way to the fifth floor, banging on Cheng Yu’s door.

”Lin Xuan! You’re here! Come in.” Cheng Yu, smiling, opened the door and welcomed Lei Linxuan, ”I just made some coffee, I’m looking at the paper we published. It’s fantastic!”

As she spoke, she turned back to her seat, picked up her coffee cup for a sip, and casually picked up the journal magazine to read.

Her movements were elegantly slow, her fingertips gently sliding over the pages, her face always adorned with a serene smile, making her very pleasant to the eye.

Could such a woman be the one who stole someone else’s paper, prompting her to plagiarize?

Lei Linxuan couldn’t believe her eyes!

”Why aren’t you sitting? What are you looking at me for?” Cheng Yu put down her book and pushed the other cup of coffee in front of Lei Linxuan, ”Drink it! It was originally for Yuyu, but he’s suddenly got something else. However, the coffee’s still hot.”

”Professor Cheng, I’m not here for coffee.” Lei Linxuan gripped the hem of her clothes tightly, ”I have something I want to ask Professor Cheng.”

”Sure. Ask away.” Cheng Yu crossed her legs elegantly, her gaze falling on Lei Linxuan’s face.

”The materials you showed me the other day, you said you organized them yourself and let me modify some things based on your paper. I want to ask Professor Cheng, did you really write that paper yourself?”

The smile on Cheng Yu’s face gradually faded: ”I did.”

”Professor Cheng, I... I’ve looked at An Hao’s papers, from the first article to the last one, a total of twenty-two pieces! One of them is exactly the same as the one you gave me!” Lei Linxuan clenched her fists tight, and although it was winter, she didn’t know if it was nerves or excitement, but her palms were sweaty.

”So what?” Cheng Yu’s eyes were as calm as flowing water, ”What are you trying to say?”

”I... ”At that moment, Lei Linxuan realized that the typically gentle Professor Cheng now had a hint of coldness in her eyes.

Without reason, she shivered. The confrontational words she had prepared before coming were now stuck in her throat.

In the end, she meekly said, ”It’s not that I want to say anything to Professor Cheng, but An Hao! She has discovered that the paper is the same as hers. She insists that it was I who plagiarized her! If I’m not mistaken, Professor Yan is also definitely aware of the current situation!”

”So...” Cheng Yu remained unhurried, her expression still tranquil, ”you worry about being accused of plagiarism? Afraid of some kind of punishment?”

Lei Linxuan looked down, tacitly confirming what Cheng Yu had said.

”Evidence? You’re accused of plagiarism just because of a few sheets of paper? Who would believe that? Your paper was published first; if anyone is to be accused of plagiarism, it’s her! What are you worried about?”
