Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 813: Chapter 813: The Pigeon Occupies the Magpie’s Nest

”Sister Chunhua, you’re too polite. I’m actually a bit thrown off by your sudden change.” An Hao spoke honestly.

She hadn’t expected Feng Chunhua’s transformation to be so profound.

”You’ll get used to it eventually. We still have more than a month to spend together. By then, you’ll really see if I’m still the same person.” Feng Chunhua was proud of herself and sought affirmation from An Hao.

”Sure. We’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other.” An Hao smiled, knowing that having a good neighbor could brighten one’s mood, and she was willing to give the changed Sister Chunhua a chance.

”Alright then. Don’t forget to come over for dinner at my place tomorrow.” Feng Chunhua invited An Hao again.

”Why don’t you come to my house instead? When the time comes, bring Sister Mei Ying and Sister Guifang with you.” It had been over a year since they had parted, and since these two sisters had been kind to An Hao last year, she was willing to host them as a way to reconnect and catch up if fate allowed it.

”Mei Ying and I should be fine. Guifang, though...” Feng Chunhua let out a deep sigh.

”What happened to Sister Guifang?” An Hao asked curiously, ”Did something happen?”

”An Hao, you’re not an outsider, so I’ll tell you,” Feng Chunhua pulled An Hao aside and whispered, ”You don’t know about the mess happening at Guifang’s place. Just now, I heard some commotion at the door and looked out from the balcony. When I saw you arguing with someone, I hurried out. Do you know who that disrespectful woman you were arguing with is?”

”Who is she?”

”That disrespectful woman is Li Zecheng’s cousin. It’s this woman who has turned your Sister Guifang’s home upside down!” Feng Chunhua hated homewreckers and mentioned it with intense disdain, ”After her divorce, she ran away from her own home and came here to find Li Zecheng, claiming she met with hard times and that her father was seriously ill and needed to borrow money. But who would have thought, after coming over twice, she simply didn’t leave. She moved into Guifang’s home, staying for months on end. You’d think, Guifang being the person she is, let her stay and eat without much fuss. But guess what? This woman actually seduced her own cousin.”

”What?” An Hao was shocked, ”She seduced Brother Li? Aren’t they cousins? How could they do such a thing?”

”It would be better if they were really cousins; then we wouldn’t have these troubles. But that’s not the case, is it? She was adopted from a young age. Now, just great, living under the same roof, seeing each other all the time. And it’s summer now, so little clothing is worn. Often, this woman either exposes half her bosom or parades her long legs around Li Zecheng. It’s driving your Sister Guifang insane,” Feng Chunhua relayed, filled with indignation.

”Then just kick her out!”

”If she could be kicked out, do you think your Sister Guifang wouldn’t have done it already?” Feng Chunhua noticed people passing by and lowered her voice to continue speaking to An Hao, ”She can’t be kicked out! That vixen has her ways – one face in front of your Sister Guifang and another when Li Zecheng comes home. Tsk, tsk, tsk, the way she switches faces is just too fast.”

Hearing Feng Chunhua’s explanation, An Hao could almost picture the situation at Zhang Guifang’s home.
