Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 643: Chapter 643: Two Slaps on the Face

”Did you hear? The anatomy building was haunted last night!”

”Haunted?”

”Yes! They say there were strange noises coming from inside, even though the lights had been off and the building pitch-black before that! Then, in the middle of the night, the lights in the hallway suddenly turned on. They stayed on until daylight, when they finally went out.”

”Oh my God! That’s so scary! Don’t you scare me now! I still have anatomy class today!”

”Who’s scaring you? Last night, someone from the boys’ dorm couldn’t sleep and noticed it from upstairs.”

”Wow! The more you two talk about it, the creepier it gets.”

Others might not understand, but Xu Yinuo knew very well that the ’ghost’ they spoke of was An Hao.

She must have come out of the restroom, which would explain the events.

Xu Yinuo’s heart was racing quite badly at this moment.

She just hoped that this matter would pass quickly and that An Hao would not pursue it any further.

Gu Shuangshuang and Lei Linxuan had also come down to the cafeteria to get food and found it very strange to hear people talking about the incident.

After breakfast, they decided to go and see for themselves what the situation was.

After all, they would have to attend night classes in the future.

The rumor of the anatomy building being haunted cast a slight shadow over the students heading there for the early morning class.

At 7:30 in the morning, the anatomy building’s custodian arrived to open the doors.

As it was Saturday and not many students had class, he always opened the doors half an hour early on Saturdays.

Xu Yinuo mingled with the crowd, wanting to see what the condition of the building was after a whole night, and what was going on with An Hao!

The door opened.

Seeing An Hao appearing in front of everyone’s eyes, all were taken aback, and timid girls let out high-pitched screams.

Gu Shuangshuang and Lei Linxuan hurried over and were shocked, their mouths agape at the scene.

Standing at the door was none other than An Hao, who had been missing for an entire night.

”An Hao! Why are you here? Didn’t you go home?” Gu Shuangshuang asked in astonishment.

An Hao glanced at Gu Shuangshuang but did not speak.

Her piercing gaze swept across the crowd, immediately spotting Xu Yinuo standing in the middle.

She pushed through the crowd and walked straight towards Xu Yinuo.

”An... An Hao...” Xu Yinuo called her name timidly.

An Hao narrowed her eyes slightly and, to the amazement of all around, she raised her hand high and slapped Xu Yinuo’s face hard.

Smack! The crisp sound of the slap caused everyone to gasp.

Xu Yinuo’s head jerked from the impact, and she quickly covered her cheek, a look of disbelief on her face, ”An Hao, why did you hit me!”

”That slap was for the whole night I was locked in the anatomy building!”

No sooner had she finished speaking than smack! Another resounding slap rang out.

”And this one is for your lies!”

An Hao’s two slaps shocked everyone, even Yan Ye, who had arrived for anatomy class, was stunned by her expression.

Her gaze was stern, her face serious and without a hint of jest, as her eyes stared directly at Xu Yinuo.

”What are you talking about? I don’t understand a word you’re saying!” Xu Yinuo said with tears in her eyes, radiating an air of pitifulness.

At this moment, she still clung to a hope for leniency.

An Hao looked at her coldly, her lips moved slightly as she said two words slowly, ”Playing dumb!”
