Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 551: Chapter 551: Have You Taken a Fancy to the Little Fairy Next Door?

Just got back, hot and thirsty, Yang Dahe hadn’t even had a sip of water when he heard his wife kicking up a fuss.

In the middle of the night, with her booming voice, the whole building heard her.

Yang Erxiu was sleeping soundly when suddenly she was startled by the thunderous noise, almost jumping out of bed.

”What are you trying to do?” Yang Dahe glared at her, irritated.

”Yang Dahe, your wife has been bullied,” Feng Chunhua said with a face full of grievance.

”You were bullied? Who dares to bully you? Aren’t you always the one who bullies others?” Yang Dahe didn’t believe her words.

He wondered what kind of trouble she was stirring up this time.

”I was given laxatives and locked in the bathroom; I couldn’t get out for half the day. If it weren’t for Zhang Guifang, I reckon I’d have been stuck in there the whole night.”

Feng Chunhua, sobbing and choking, related her ordeal to her husband Yang Dahe.

Yang Dahe, without offering a word of comfort, immediately confronted her, ”There are so many military wives visiting on leave. Why would they have it out for you particularly? Have you considered your own actions?”

”My actions? What have I done?” Upon seeing that her husband didn’t show the slightest sympathy for her, Feng Chunhua’s anger surged.

”Are you truly unaware?” Yang Dahe remembered the casual conversation Mei Ying’s husband had with him during training that afternoon, and he felt a tightness in his chest.

Mei Ying’s husband is an upright man, and since they come from the same region, they occasionally sit together.

During the break, Mei Ying’s husband told him everything.

At noon while buying watermelons, Mei Ying saw Feng Chunhua throw watermelon rinds under An Hao’s feet, causing her to fall and swell her ankle.

Speaking to Feng Chunhua was useless, so Mei Ying asked her husband to speak with Yang Dahe about managing his wife.

All being military wives, it’s not easy to get together during the holidays; bullying shouldn’t be tolerated no matter the circumstance.

Although An Hao is young, she is the Chief of Staff’s wife.

Even if both the Chief of Staff and An Hao are good-natured enough to tolerate her once or twice, over time, nobody can stand that sort of behavior.

The last thing they needed was for these trivial matters to damage the relationship between Yang Dahe and Qin Jian.

So, Mei Ying’s husband brought the matter to Yang Dahe’s attention.

Having returned from training, before Yang Dahe could say anything about the incident, Feng Chunhua started to make a scene.

”Explain to me the thing with the watermelon rind,” Yang Dahe demanded, pointing at Feng Chunhua’s nose.

”I...” Feng Chunhua stiffened her neck and didn’t speak.

Yang Dahe could see that in his lifetime, he couldn’t expect much more from Feng Chunhua — marrying her was his bad luck after all.

Not doing anything worthwhile all day and bringing trouble to the unit.

Today’s incident of being locked in the bathroom was probably because people just couldn’t stand her anymore.

”Enough. Don’t say anything else. I don’t expect much from you, anyway. Buy some things tomorrow, and when I return, I’ll go see Qin Jian’s wife.”

No sooner had Yang Dahe said this than Feng Chunhua flew at him like a mad bull, attacking her own husband: ”Yang Dahe! You heartless man! Have you fallen for the little slut next door, is that it? Just because she sprained her ankle? I’ve long seen through your impure intentions towards her! You stared at that little vixen’s legs for so long that day, don’t think I haven’t noticed!”
