Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 540: Chapter 540: Can’t Hold It In Much Longer

”Why isn’t she washing?” Feng Chunhua asked.

”She’s tired,” Qin Jian spat out a few simple words, a smile touching his thin lips.

Feng Chunhua, seeing another woman’s husband being so considerate, felt a surge of resentment when she thought of her own man.

Qin Jian quietly scrubbed the clothes, and when he turned his head to see Feng Chunhua staring at him with wide eyes, he felt uncomfortable.

So, he washed his hands and said to Feng Chunhua, ”Sister Chunhua, you wash first. I’ll come back later.”

As Qin Jian walked away, Feng Chunhua gathered a mouthful of saliva and spat it disdainfully into the basin soaking An Hao’s clothes.

.....................

The next day, An Hao overslept.

She didn’t get up until the sun was high in the sky, and when she opened her eyes, she saw that Qin Jian had already left, leaving a note and breakfast on the table.

After washing up, she ate the breakfast and went to find Gu Shuangshuang.

Gu Shuangshuang, suddenly brought to this place, wasn’t feeling well, suffering from vomiting and diarrhea all night.

When An Hao came in, Shuangshuang was lying weakly on the bed, clutching her stomach and moaning.

”Shuangshuang, are you all right?” An Hao, seeing Gu Shuangshuang in great discomfort, took her by the arm to help her up, ”Come on, I’ll take you to the infirmary.”

”An Hao. I feel like I’m about to die.” Gu Shuangshuang’s dehydration was severe, her complexion turning pale.

”Don’t talk nonsense. Hold on, I’m taking you to the infirmary.” Last night, she and Qin Jian had familiarized themselves with the surroundings at the headquarters, not expecting to need it so soon.

”Okay.” Shuangshuang got out of bed, put on her shoes, and followed An Hao out while holding her stomach. But just a few steps later, she couldn’t go on, ”I’m done for! I need to use the bathroom again.”

”Come on. Let’s go to the bathroom first.” An Hao pulled Gu Shuangshuang and ran towards the toilet downstairs.

In this area, there were only male soldiers, so naturally, there was no women’s restroom.

However, considering that family members were visiting these few days, to facilitate their use of the restroom, they had temporarily added a door to the men’s restroom.

If there were female family members using the restroom, they would just lock the door, and the male soldiers would know there were women inside and go elsewhere.

When An Hao and Shuangshuang got there, the door was closed, indicating a woman was using the restroom.

So, An Hao called through the door, ”Which sister is in there? Could you please open the door?”

Feng Chunhua had just finished using the restroom and was about to get up to open the door when she heard An Hao’s voice outside and deliberately slowed her pace.

”Who’s there? Please wait a moment, I’m in the middle of doing a number two.”

Hearing it was Feng Chunhua inside, An Hao had a bad feeling, but seeing Gu Shuangshuang so uncomfortable, she patiently said, ”Is that you, Sister Chunhua? Are you almost done? We really need to use the restroom.”

When Chunhua heard An Hao say it was urgent, she took pleasure in their discomfort, ”Oh dear, what’s the hurry? I’m only halfway through.”

”Sister, it’s really urgent. Shuangshuang has diarrhea, she can’t hold it anymore.”

If it had been An Hao alone, perhaps Chunhua would have let her in after a while, but hearing it was Gu Shuangshuang, Feng Chunhua immediately changed her mind, ”Alright, alright, just wait a moment. I’ve got diarrhea too, you have to let me finish.”

”Can you hurry up? I’m about to burst!” Gu Shuangshuang stamped her foot in agony, her forehead covered in sweat and tears streaming down her face.

An Hao couldn’t believe Feng Chunhua would act this way. She said she needed the restroom, so An Hao waited, but after five minutes, Feng Chunhua still hadn’t come out.

”An Hao, I can’t hold it anymore. I really can’t! I don’t want to soil myself!” Gu Shuangshuang couldn’t help but cry.
