Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 375: Chapter 375 Visiting My Brother in the Army

”Qin Jian is truly extraordinary!” Yan Huan couldn’t help but exclaim.

”Extraordinary?” Xiaomei chuckled, ”The more extraordinary thing is yet to come. You don’t know, that day everyone saw it, the girl fell to the ground, right in the way of Commander Qin’s path, and he didn’t even look at her. He actually just walked around her.”

”Walked around her!!!” Yan Huan was stunned for a moment, then burst into bell-like laughter, ”Serves her right! She tried to seduce Qin Jian! She totally brought it on herself!”

”Exactly!” Xiaomei crunched into an apple and continued, ”So, Sister Yan, watch out for history repeating itself! Just think, if your father wasn’t the Deputy Commander, you might today... ”

”What are you trying to say?” Yan Huan stared at her, asking.

”Just think, even a blind person could see that you’re making excuses to get close to Commander Qin, let alone him himself. Next time you need a better excuse, one that isn’t so obvious!”

”Xiaomei.”

”Hmm?”

”Do me a favor and close the door on your way out!”

”Alright!”

After military training, normal classes finally began.

There were many courses in the first year, and because Qin Jian was busy with the military region’s competition, the two hadn’t met for about a month. An Hao finally made it to Sunday and decided to visit Qin Jian at the military base.

After autumn, the weather gradually became colder, and the girls in the dormitory started buying yarn and learning to knit.

An Hao wasn’t interested in knitting, so she didn’t learn it.

Now that she was going to see Qin Jian, she began to regret her initial willfulness, thinking about the colder weather ahead and realizing she really needed a pair of gloves.

Gu Shuangshuang, seeing An Hao packing her things to leave, casually asked, ”Hey, An Hao, are you going home or visiting your warrior brother at the base?”

”I’m going to the base,” An Hao replied.

”Great.” Gu Shuangshuang hurriedly took out the gloves she had knitted and stuffed them into An Hao’s hands when she heard An Hao was going to see Qin Jian, ”An Hao, this is my first creation! Please give it to your brother for me! And send him my regards and admiration!”

”Some people are just born lucky!” An Hao was saying when she took the gloves and almost got scared to death, ”These so-called gloves are all crooked and messy. The little finger is even thicker than the thumb. Are you sure you can actually bring yourself to give out such gloves?”

”It’s the first time! It’s definitely not going to be perfect. But it’s a token of my affection for Brother An. You have to accept it, or else I won’t forgive you.”

An Hao was caught between laughter and tears, ”Okay, I’ll take them.”

”That’s right! Please give them to my warrior brother!”

”Are you sure it’s just giving them to your warrior brother?” An Hao confirmed with her, still laughing.

”Positive!”

The military base wasn’t too far from the school, so An Hao simply took a bus there.

At the entrance, she explained her intentions.

The warrior on guard was about to call Qin Jian, but Tian Niu, who had gone out and was just returning to the base, happened to come by.

Seeing that it was An Hao, he cheerfully shouted, ”Sister-in-law, are you here to see the Commander? Come on, I’ll take you in!”

He spoke to the guard warrior, then led An Hao through the gate.

Seeing An Hao carrying a bunch of stuff, fruits, cakes, luncheon meat, and the like, Tian Niu’s mouth watered.
