The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 989: Chapter 989: Father-in-Law Above

——

The next morning at the crack of dawn, Guan Shining came running over to look for Han Jing all excited, but the one who came out was a man so beautiful he didn’t look human... a man.

Guan Shining was a whole head shorter than Su Yu. He tilted his head up to look at this... pretty boy, blinked once, then blinked again, confirming that the other party was first and foremost a... man, then asked somewhat uncertainly, ”Do, do you have a younger sister?”

Last night Su Yu had already heard from Han Jing what was going on, including why They were staying here, and that there was a Guan Mountain Island young Master called Guan Shining who was shamelessly insisting on calling She Sister, so there was no need to guess: the person in front of him was the Guan Shining Han Jing had mentioned.

Su Yu gave him a glance and answered, ”No.”

Guan Shining sighed regretfully, then immediately asked in delight, ”Then do you have a daughter?”

Su Yu... What did whether he had a younger sister or a daughter have to do with him?

When you see a stranger show up in your own home, shouldn’t you first ask who they are? Why is he asking if he has a younger sister or a daughter?

”What’s it got to do with you?” Su Yu asked.

For the sake of the fact that he was the owner here, he’d still give him that much face.

Guan Shining said excitedly, ”Of course it’s got to do with me. If you have a younger sister, she’s definitely really pretty, and if you have a daughter, then she’s definitely even prettier!”

Su Yu turned his head and went back to sit down at the table. ”Pretty or not, what’s it got to do with you?”

His daughter was of course pretty.

Guan Shining immediately scooted over like they were old friends. ”So tell me, do you have a daughter or not?”

”I do.” He of course had a daughter, and she was the prettiest, most adorable daughter in the whole world.

Guan Shining at once held up a cup of tea and offered it to Su Yu. ”Honored Father-in-law above, please accept a bow from your humble son-in-law.”

Su Yu’s face, always calm and unruffled, remained as unmoving and composed as ever in that moment, but inside he was anything but calm. What the hell? ”Honored Father-in-law”? ”Son-in-law”? Is this some kind of joke? His daughter was only six! Having that several-thousand-year-old old ghost Lianwu thinking about her all day was already enough for him to worry about, and now this whatever-it-is pops up and wants to set his sights on his daughter too?

Su Yu’s gaze instantly became a lot less friendly, even carrying a tiny hint of coldness.

Guan Shining, still holding the tea up, looked at Su Yu, muttering silently to himself, Why isn’t he accepting it!

Just then, a burst of uproarious laughter suddenly rang out: ”Hahahaha——”

Last night Han Jing had carelessly provoked that beast in human clothing Su Yu and got thoroughly ravaged once, so she’d gotten up a bit late. She had just put on her clothes and walked to the doorway when she heard Guan Shining’s line, ”Honored Father-in-law above, please accept a bow from your humble son-in-law,” and it nearly made her laugh herself to death.

She could absolutely imagine that Su Yu’s face had to be as black as the bottom of a pot right now.

By coincidence, Ning Shiqi had also finished washing up and was coming over to see if anyone had already come looking for them, because a Spirit Butterfly had flown back last night; he hadn’t seen anyone, so he figured it had gone to find Han Jing.

His hearing was excellent, so naturally he heard what Guan Shining said, and then Han Jing’s peals of laughter.

Han Jing was laughing so hard she almost couldn’t straighten up. When she saw Ning Shiqi coming over, she still couldn’t stop laughing. ”Shi Qi, did, did you hear, hear what A ning just said? Pff—hahaha, I’m dying here!”

Su Yu’s expression grew a few degrees colder.

Guan Shining looked at Han Jing, who was laughing like a dumb—ass, then lifted his head to glance at Su Yu, whose expression had somehow turned so cold his eyes alone could kill a man, and inexplicably turned to ask Han Jing, ”Sister, what are you laughing at?”
