The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 985: Chapter 985: There Really Was No Wedding Ceremony!

Guan Shining casually picked up an empty plate and threw it over: ”Whoever wants to go can go, this young master is not going!”

Little Tao clutched his head and quickly slipped away.

Han Jing...

This is definitely a tyrant!

”I say, even if you don’t like her, you’ve already gone through the wedding ceremony with her. Shouldn’t you go and explain it properly, otherwise you will ruin that girl’s life, won’t you? Her whole promising life is destroyed by you!” Han Jing felt that, no matter what, since this brat now called her sister, she couldn’t just watch him ruin people’s lives.

”We didn’t get married, just as we were about to, you fell down and knocked her unconscious!” Guan Shining emphasized: ”We really didn’t go through the ceremony!”

Han Jing casually picked up an empty plate and threw it at him: ”Is that the point?”

Guan Shining easily dodged the flying plate: ”Then what is the point?”

Han Jing held her forehead, wondering who on earth taught this troublemaker. A girl was all set to marry him, and he just decides to run away like that, what kind of person does that?

”Do you know that running away without a word is ruining that girl’s life?” Han Jing slapped the table hard and shouted.

Guan Shining said indifferently: ”How does that ruin her life? She can marry someone else!”

”Do you think it’s that easy?!” Han Jing was truly speechless. What kind of logic is this? If she had the time, energy, and interest, she should open a class to properly explain to this group of rotten men what human rights are and what respect for women means. Clearly, he looked decent enough and was quite on track, so why doesn’t he do anything decent?

Guan Shining looked utterly baffled: ”It is really easy though, the girls from Guan Mountain Island are quite sought after, if you get married, don’t like it, you divorce, and then marry someone else, what’s the big deal? Of the ten girls on this island, five have been married several times, depending on their mood, no?”

Han Jing...

Looked with some disbelief at Guan Shining and asked: ”Is that true?”

Guan Shining had a look of you outsiders know nothing: ”Of course it’s true. Here on Guan Mountain Island, men and women are free to combine, getting married if you want, if not suitable, part ways and find the next one. My dad said that for a cultivator, life is long, you should enjoy life while you can, why waste time on unsuitable people?”

Han Jing was stunned...

Did she really misunderstand? Is Guan Mountain Island more free than the 21st century?

No wonder he’s so fearless, is this the way of life on the entire island?

”So your dad... how many wives does he have?” Han Jing asked.

Guan Shining rolled his eyes: ”Of course only one, that’s my mother! But... my mother passed away when I was very young, I don’t remember, I have no impression of her. Later, my dad just kept taking concubines, never refused anyone, and wouldn’t hold anyone back if they wanted to leave, anyway, our Guan Mountain Island doesn’t care about that.”

At this point, Guan Shining shook his head and sighed: ”It’s just a pity, my dad worked all these years and never had another child, all that effort for nothing! Pointless farming!”

”Cough cough” Han Jing really couldn’t hold back, coughing several times and almost choking, what kind of freak is this, would his dad not break his legs for saying something like that?
