The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 813: Chapter 813: What Is She Trying to Do?

Xiao Xue spread her arms and flew into Han Jing’s embrace, ”Mother—”

Han Jing reached out to catch Xiao Xue. This maid was usually not very clingy to her; could something have happened?

Holding her, Han Jing asked, ”What’s wrong? Did something happen? Where did you go? Why are you just returning now?”

Beside them, Lan Ling interjected, ”They were deceived by Han Qingjue, who used a Space Transfer Jade to take them to the Illusion Bamboo Forest.”

Han Jing exclaimed in shock, ”What? The Illusion Bamboo Forest? What’s that place?”

”Mother, Mother, I have something to tell you, don’t speak to Uncle Lan Ling yet!” The unfortunate Xiao Xue, having found no chance to speak, hurriedly interrupted, seeing Han Jing about to talk to Lan Ling.

Han Jing asked, ”What is it? You speak.”

Xiao Xue quickly spilled everything, like pouring beans, about what happened after she arrived at the Illusion Bamboo Forest, detailing what Han Qingjue did and said to her, ”She told me I must tell you for us to leave here quickly and never return. She spoke about debts she couldn’t repay and said things like if we want to hate, then hate. Then... then she told me to lie down and play dead, not to open my eyes until we left the Illusion Bamboo Forest. Mother, what does this mean? Are we leaving?”

Upon hearing Xiao Xue’s words, Han Jing frowned. What could Han Qingjue mean by abducting Xiao Xue and saying those words?

Did she also take a bit of Xiao Xue’s blood? What is going on? What is her intention?

”Xiao Xue, where is Ling Xiang?” Ling Xiang was with Han Qingjue, so could Ling Xiang know what’s happening?

Xiao Xue shook her head, ”I don’t know.”

”Over here!” At that moment, Han Jing heard Su Yu’s voice. She turned her head and saw Su Yu walking over with Ling Xiang, who appeared somewhat unwell.

Seeing Xiao Xue seemed fine, Han Jing remained uneasy. However, knowing nothing of medicine, she couldn’t discern much and had to look to Xia Qingcheng for help, ”Does the senior have anyone skilled in medicine, I want them to check Xiao Xue for injuries.”

She was worried Han Qingjue might have done something to Xiao Xue.

Xia Qingcheng looked at Xiao Xue, ”Hold out your hand.”

Obediently, Xiao Xue extended her hand, and Xia Qingcheng placed a finger on her wrist.

Su Yu and Ling Xiang had already walked over, Ling Xiang’s face pale, asking Xiao Xue anxiously, ”Is Xiao Xue okay?”

Han Jing shook her head, ”She should be fine.”

Everyone had to wait for Xia Qingcheng to finish taking the pulse.

Xia Qingcheng, after checking Xiao Xue’s pulse, remained silent, furrowing her brow as if deep in thought.

Han Jing did not rush him and first asked Ling Xiang, ”Did you see Han Qingjue? Do you know where she went?”

Ling Xiang shook his head, ”I’m sorry, it’s my fault. Today, Lady Han was taken away by Xia Ji. I feared Xia Ji might harm her, but then Xia Ji let her go. Then, Lady Han told me Xia Ji intended to harm Xiao Xue, urging me to inform you quickly. Worried for Xiao Xue’s safety, I left with her and we ran into Xiao Xue in the street. Then... we were taken to the Illusion Bamboo Forest. I suspect Lady Han has already teamed up with Xia Ji, and I guess my father might also be involved.”

Han Jing’s face turned pale, unable to swear in front of Xiao Xue, yet Xia Ji, she really had gone mad!
