The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 347: Chapter 347: Your Subject’s Younger Brother Wishes to Marry Princess Chenyu

How could the Crown Prince, with his temperament, possibly let this go?

So recently, the Emperor has been quite troubled and doesn’t want any more complications. This He Qi really knows how to cause trouble!

Just as the Emperor was pondering whether or not to agree with Su Yu, Su Yu continued, ”I wish to marry Princess Chenyu.”

With this one sentence from Su Yu, countless cups were shattered throughout the banquet. Now, all eyes were focused on Su Yu. Did they hear correctly? Su Yu, Su Yu, he wants to marry Han Jing? My God, what kind of joke is this?

Especially Su Xingyan, who, upon hearing this from Su Yu, stood up abruptly, completely disregarding his surroundings, and asked in shock, ”What did you say? Say it again!”

The Emperor was also dumbfounded, this, this...

The Emperor instinctively looked towards Su Yaogeng.

Who knew that Su Yaogeng calmly stood up and replied, ”Brother, I have already agreed to this matter. Brother also knows that Jing’er is my only beloved daughter. I have always been worried that she would not find a good match. Previously, she was framed by others, which made me very heartbroken. Entrusting Jing’er to Yun Peng is also my wish.”

The civil and military officials attending the birthday banquet, including their families, were completely bewildered.

They didn’t hear it wrong, they really didn’t...

This Prince Yu wants to marry the Eldest Princess’s daughter, and the Eldest Princess actually agreed...

What is this, what is this? This is simply nonsense, nonsense!

Everyone immediately started discussing, each more excited than those involved.

Of course, the most agitated was Su Xingyan, who directly shouted, ”I do not agree!”

Everyone, hearing this, looked at Su Xingyan with great astonishment. He doesn’t agree? What drama is this now?

But is this a matter of whether he agrees or not?

”Nonsense!” The Emperor shouted at Su Xingyan, ”When did your Imperial Uncle’s matters become something you could disagree with? Since Yun Peng and Yao Zhen have discussed it, it’s settled. I approve the marriage, and tomorrow I will issue an edict to grant the marriage, announcing it to the world.”

Although on the surface this marriage seems a bit absurd, with a little thought, the Emperor understood the reasoning behind it. The child, Jing’er, has indeed suffered a lot. Rumor has it that there are still many rumors about her in the streets. Back then, when Yan’er caused such a commotion, he, as her uncle, felt guilty. Jing’er is the apple of Yao Zhen’s eye, and from Yao Zhen’s perspective, she indeed needs someone trustworthy for her life to be satisfactorily settled.

Yun Peng is someone he and Yao Zhen have watched grow up. His character is well recognized by them, and entrusting Jing’er to him is indeed a good choice for Yao Zhen. Yao Zhen probably also knows that the current political situation is dire, and it’s uncertain what the future holds. If the Crown Prince truly ascends the throne, having Yun Peng take Jing’er away is also a way out.

So this marriage, he has no reason not to agree.

Absurd as it may be, after all, Yun Peng and Jing’er are not related by blood.

”Father! You cannot agree! How can they, how can they marry?! This is incest!” Su Xingyan walked from his seat to the center of the hall, knelt down, and urged the Emperor excitedly.

How could they... how could they get married... No, definitely not!

She marries Su Yu, then what about him? After he finally came to like her, how could she marry someone else?
