The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 285: Chapter 285: His Woman Is Just Different

Su Yu bent down, picked up Han Jing’s shoes from the ground, lifted Han Jing’s foot, and quite naturally helped her put on her shoes.

There was a momentary daze in Han Jing’s expression, and she quickly lowered her eyes.

She had never been in love, nor had she liked anyone, but she wasn’t a fool who knew nothing.

She didn’t know how men and women should interact, nor what love entailed, but Su Yu’s small gesture still made her heart tremble fiercely, making it a little hard for her to believe.

Yes, hard to believe.

Her eyes weren’t blind, and her mind was functioning well. She didn’t know what kind of person Su Yu was, but with his temperament, he would never do something like putting shoes on a woman.

The Su Yu she knew was Prince Yu of Nanyao Country, second only to the king, and though he might have no real power, in the Capital City, nobody dared to show him the slightest disrespect. Even someone like Su Xingyan, who looked down on everyone, had to bow obediently when he saw Su Yu, showing how esteemed his status was.

And he was both a Spirit Cultivator and an Artifact Refiner. Just based on the few words Yun Feng mentioned, and what Su Yaogeng had told her, she could deduce that Su Yu’s status in the Spirit Cultivation Realm was anything but ordinary.

Otherwise, with her personality, how could she possibly be swayed by the conditions he offered, even to the extent of shamelessly abandoning her reluctance to marry and deciding to marry him?

So for someone so high and mighty to do such a simple and thoughtful thing was truly unbelievable to her.

It’s not that he was so incredible for doing it, but he had no need to do it at all, and yet he did.

But she knew that Su Yu wasn’t acting out of love when he did such a naturally intimate thing, which made it even more unthinkable to her.

Han Jing’s heart was a little bit confused.

She got off the bed and hurriedly said to Su Yu, ”I’ll be leaving first.”

Then, once again, she disappeared like the wind.

Without waiting for Su Yu to say another word, she was nowhere to be found.

Su Yu looked inexplicably at Han Jing’s retreating figure, who once again fled in panic in front of him. Had he done something unsatisfactory? Why did she always leave in such a hurry?

Su Yu shook his head and did not chase after her, dispelling the original idea of sending her back. Since she didn’t like it, he would let her be.

Indeed, women are an incomprehensible species, and she seemed different from any woman he had known before.

In his memory, women fell into two categories: one, as venomous as serpents, would stop at nothing to achieve their goals, sacrificing anyone. The other would drool over him, unrelentingly buzzing around him like flies.

And regardless of which type, he had no desire whatsoever to get close to or understand them.

And Han Jing? She’s a bit clever, a bit cute, a bit temperamental, and somewhat delightful.

In short, his woman was different from others, although a bit willful, but it didn’t matter, as long as she was happy.

Han Jing walked briskly all the way until she was almost at Yao Xiang Pavilion, and only after confirming no one was following her did she breathe a sigh of relief, then looked up at the sky with an air of detached coolness. Why was she so excited, so nervous?

Han Jing reached up and patted her face, feeling surprisingly warm.

She quickly covered her face. Oh no, was she running a fever? Otherwise, with her perpetual cold fish demeanor, how could she feel warm?
